Over 210 BGS Old Girls returned to their school for a reunion lunch on Saturday.
Reunion Year Groups representing every decade from 1955 met up with old friends in the historic Roger Kay Hall in the Girls’ school. Ages ranged from 23 to 84 and some ladies had travelled from as far as Canada to be there on the day.
The Old Girls enjoyed tours of the school to see all of the fabulous new facilities which were unrecognisable to many from their time at school including the incredible new joint 6th Form Centre.
The school bell sounded at 12.15 whereby all of the ladies joined in a resounding chorus of the School Song. This was followed by a delicious buffet lunch and speeches of welcome from the new Headmistress, Mrs. Jo Anderson.
England Cricketer and BGS Old Girl Kate Cross presented the Headmistress with a signed cricket shirt and during the day many fond memories were shared between old friends.
