We love to find more out about the amazing companies we work with here at thebestofbury and the people who help them succeed, this week we have spoken to Kate Holt the Managing Director At Bury Businesslodge.
Quick over view of the company in your words –
BusinessLodge are a provider of office space, meeting rooms and virtual offices. We started with just Europa House and we have grown over the years – now 4 buildings. We pride ourselves on our customer service – we have a fantastic team here, full of characters, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Offices varying from a 1 person private office up to offices which can accommodate 100 people. Also Co-Working space. We look after everything – furniture, call answering, maintenance, health and safety, cleaning to mention a few. Very large car park on site, plus gym and coffee shop serving Starbucks coffee. The office space can be on flexible terms – but we hope that people come and love it so much that they never leave. (that is often the case with Debi Fellone who is often still at her desk here at Europa House late into the evening!). We have clients who have been here since 2004 – so we must be doing something right!!
Tell us a little about yourself –
I have a little dog called Frank – who is my baby. I Love spending time with my partner and friends and family! That often involves a glass or two of Prosecco! I Enjoy holidays and exploring new places – both in the UK and abroad.
Do you have any hobbies
Walking the baby who is Frank! I Enjoy sport – watching all sports and definitely need to be playing more! I Enjoy playing squash, hockey and cricket. Need a new squash partner – so if anyone fancies a game give me a shout! Plus socialising with friends and family……with Prosecco!
Three words to describe you –
Sarcastic…….hmmm……2 others?! Sociable…….hmmm…….Prosecco?!
Tell us something no one knows –
I do like to drink the odd glass of Prosecco!
What is the part you most enjoy being with Bury businesslodge –
No 2 days are the same! Enjoy being part of the great team we have here. I Enjoy getting to know all the different clients we have here and helping their businesses in whatever way we can.
How long have you been part of Bury BusinessLodge –
15 years approx…….some might say I don’t look old enough J
Your company has been taking part in the Bury Hospice Corporate Challenge, can you tell us about it –
As part of the Brunch Club (ladies networking group) we decided to take part in the Corporate Challenge. I missed one of our meetings and was nominated in my absence to be the co-ordinator! I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. The Hospice start the challenge in June by giving you £50 – you then have until the end of October to turn it into as much money as you can! I am about to reveal our final total at the end of October – but I am hoping we have raised in excess of £10k. The Brunch team have organised some fantastic events, taken part in some gruelling challenges and worked as a team to generate as much cash as we could for the Hospice.
What’s a normal day working in Bury BusinessLodge –
Normal day at BusinessLodge does not exist – and that is what I love about it!
Any exiting plans or things to look out for? –
Watch this space……
Out of the charity work/events that Bury BusinessLodge hosts; which one would be your favourite? –
I enjoy all of them – would be wrong to single one out. The Bury Hospice Corporate Challenge has been brilliant because it has involved so many different things. I love sponsoring the Super Josh Pride of Bury Awards as it is such an incredible event, real tear jerker and Super Josh are a fabulous charity to work with.
Orignially from London but I have lived in Bury since 2010, I am the Account Manager for thebestofbury and love the theatre and spending time with my family.
