Staff from four Bury businesses are starring in a new online game which has been launched today by thebestof. ‘thebestofbury Games’ is an online game that challenges the people of Bury to compete against one another in four fun events - Hammer Throw, Bus Pull, VIP Q Jump and Trolley Ball! The idea is to find out who is the best player in Bury with the overall highest scoring player winning a fantastic pool of prizes. Staff from local businesses, Bury Market, Phoenix Home Solutions, Standian’s Leisure and UKCostumes4U feature in the games represented by their own unique avatars.

Russell Pritchard from Phoenix Home Solutions explains: “People from Bury and all over the UK now have the opportunity to battle against our staff in thebestof Bury Games to see if they are good enough to beat our top scores.  It’s all a lot of fun and I’m sure there will be some serious competition hotting up over the coming weeks between staff, customers and local people.  As an added bonus we even offer instant rewards if you challenge any of our staff and win!”

The prize pool has been generously provided by the four businesses involved, the player that gets the highest score over a 2 month period across all four events will be crowned thebestofbury Games King or Queen and walk away with a Decorator for a day from Phoenix Home Solutions, £75 to spend on Bury Market, 2 tickets for a Man City or Man United European Game next year from Standian’s Leisure and £50 discount from UKCostumes4U.

The Best of Bury champions and showcases the very best local businesses tapping into thousands of opinions of local people, writing real reviews and sharing their knowledge about great local businesses. Every business that is featured on thebestof Bury website has been recommended by local people - so users can be confident that they truly are one of the best at what they do.

Debi Fellone who runs thebestof Bury says; “This is a unique opportunity for great local businesses to promote themselves to people in Bury in a very different way. Usually online games like this are associated with brand building for multinational corporations and big businesses but now we can offer the chance for local businesses to feature and be seen by people in a different way. Added to this we have in-game Facebook Connect and Twitter functions so players can invite and challenge friends and colleagues via social media, this should really increase the exposure for the businesses involved.”
