Walmersley Golf Club are hosting a Ladies Taster Session on Sunday 23rd May at the Club between 3:30 pm and 5:30pm. Beginners and existing players are all welcome and would-be players with no experience or equipment are invited to come along. There will be an introduction to golf with the Club Pro followed by tea, cake and prosecco!

The Junior Academy is a wonderful way for children and young people to learn to play golf, and golf is one of those pursuits that will last a lifetime and enrich the lives of youngsters!
Young Golfers at Walmersley GC will progress through a series of achievable targets, learning not just how to play but also the rules of the game.
When does the Academy start?
Thursday 20th May at 6pm.
The structured learning programme encourages and motivates juniors through quality coaching in small classes for one hour each week (for 8 weeks) and there are tests and competitions to encourage progress in this healthy and exhilarating sport.
There are two standards of Junior lessons in age bands 7yrs to 10 yrs. of age and 11yrs to 14yrs.
The cost for the course of lessons is just £25 for the 8-week course per child.
New members are welcome at this friendly Golf Club and there is a range of options available. The Club was founded in 1906 and is a traditional countryside course with stunning views across the Lancashire countryside whilst being close to the heart of Town.
The Golf Course is open, and players are welcome to return and enjoy a round or two of golf to blow away the lockdown blues. Existing players who have not returned yet are urged to dust off your clubs and enjoy a round in the fresh air.
At this time, the Club House and Function Rooms are not operating fully due to Covid restrictions, however, as soon as possible the function room and Club House, bar etc will come alive again with parties, events, award nights, and people will be able to book the function rooms for their own use. Business and corporate parties will be able to use the function rooms again and booking for corporate/business golf games can start booking. As most people and firms have also been closed there may well be a rush to book, so don’t delay!
