Covid 19 will come to an end and when it does will you be fit and ready to leap into action?

Due to self-isolation many of us are working from home and whilst it is great for a while the time will come when many of us will be keen to spread our wings again.

Whilst thanks to the miracles of technology, we are able to communicate around the globe instantly some of us can continue to work but there are limits, for example working from home surrounded by domestic issues and being able to separate the needs of children with the needs of thinking and working time is a demanding process.

Personal wellbeing is about getting the work/life balance right, physical fitness and mental wellness are easily overlooked but they are essential mechanisms that must be considered.

Three weeks of lockdown, to be extended by another three, makes wellbeing a struggle, however, ‘when the going gets tough the tough get going’!

Planning is essential, daily, weekly and longer-term planning is a good way to maintain ones equilibrium. The plan must include a balance between working time and family time, for example writers et al with children will rise very early to work before the family wake up.

Exercise is a must, physical mobility and mental health benefit vastly from taking a walk or even mowing the grass. So, a daily plan will help to facilitate playtime, exercise and mental stimulation  - and business continuation.

A medium-term plan gives greater perspective allowing an overview of what has been achieved and what is still to be done, i.e. are you on target?

Longer term planning must surely be for Liberation Day when children return to school and the lockdown comes to an end! Many of us will appreciate just how much we gain from ‘going out to work’ in an environment amongst like-minded people, free of domestic concerns in the knowledge that one’s children are safely in school or nursery and being cared for.

CV19 will come to an end, soon we hope, and our hunger for the stimulation that goes with business interaction will quickly restart. BusinessLodge offers just such a commercial haven for returning entrepreneurs and their colleagues.
