Gill, Aimee & Collette are over the moon to welcome Lauren Barton to team #GEM. Lauren joins us as our Social Media Apprentice. Having left college this year with A Levels in Media, Art and Law, Lauren is all fired up and ready to begin her working life. We feel extremely privileged that she chose GEM.
Life at GEM is busy (and sometimes a little chaotic), as we juggle client work ensuring that deadlines are met. On her second day in the office a last-minute print change on a client project meant that the pressure was on. Lauren showed her amazing team spirit and passion by staying behind until after 6.00 p.m. to ensure that the project was complete, and ready for an 8 a.m. courier collection the next morning. As an employer and co-worker, you really can’t ask for more.
So, what’s in store for Lauren? Well she wants to work in the digital and media arena. Having chatted over options Lauren is going to start her journey doing a Social Media NVQ with Bury College. Along the way she’s going to re-open the GEM social media division, which stalled due to other projects. With her artistic interests and determination to do well, we’re certain that she’ll be a force to be reckoned with in the coming months.
For now Lauren is training with Collette on our call-answering service, which continues to grow. As winter approaches on 2017 we’re already looking towards 2018, and the new opportunities available to GEM.
