Forties Fever hits Bury Tourist Information Centre on Saturday 2 June as it celebrates the East Lancashire Railway 1940s Wartime Weekend.
The centre will be holding its popular “Make Do and Mend” craft fair, including entertainment, hand made goods, craft activities, demonstrations and wartime treats to try.
On the first floor Delicious café will be serving up traditional period grub as well as its usual home-made menu.
The event will be open from 10am to 4pm, and the Tourist Information Centre is on Moss Street in the Fusilier Museum, opposite Bury Art Museum. In fact, the Fusilier Museum will be offering free admission to anyone dressed in 1940s attire.
