Renowned for her mesmerising voice and powerful stage presence, Christine Collister returns to The Met for a very special evening of music, performing songs from her latest project Children of the Sea, alongside a carefully chosen selection of fan favourites from her remarkable 40-year career.

A true genre-spanning artist, Christine blends soul, blues, pop, jazz, country, and folk with effortless grace. Since rising to national fame with the theme song for the BBC’s The Life and Loves of a She-Devil in 1987, she has gone on to release 24 albums, collaborate with legends like Clive Gregson and Richard Thompson, and perform at major festivals including Glastonbury, Cambridge, Winnipeg, and Port Fairy.

Her latest work, Children of the Sea, released in 2024, is a deeply personal project inspired by Manx folklore and Christine’s Isle of Man roots. Featuring nine original songs, the album is accompanied by a beautifully illustrated book, celebrating the magic of place, story, and song. This body of work is considered one of her most artistically profound to date.

A beloved live performer, Christine's concerts are known for their emotional depth, musical richness, and warm rapport with audiences. Whether through her collaborations—including her work with Daphne’s Flight and Michael Fix—or her solo performances, Christine continues to captivate and connect, offering evenings of music that are as heartfelt as they are unforgettable.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a genuine icon of the folk and acoustic world in an intimate and spellbinding live setting.
