Village hotels are great all round, always enjoy stay at them or meeting friends for drinks or the gym, my only disappointment was the need to use app for all orders and payments, completely ruins the vibe of going out and socialising, who wants to go out carrying their mobile with them? I go out to socialise with friends not mess about on my phone, annoying to say the least, and the gym booking system for sauna etc was a bit of a pain, I know Village are just following govt guidelines, I just hope for their sake restrictions are removed so they can return to their usual top notch service.
All in all very good, just current situation makes life difficult for everybody, the staff at Village reception were very helpful to make things the best possible.

My first day back at the gym and my mind was thinking all sorts and I was going to cancel but I went and what a credit and great surprised I felt safe and it was a great example of how things should be done I felt like me again. Then I went into the bar area for a drink and again great service and the staff have obviously had great training.. Thank you for getting my life back on track

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while attending a birthday party in the Vibe Room. Bed was super comfy but the good stops there. Very little personal service. You can check in, program your room card without seeing staff.
To get your luggage into the hotel, you either hoof it up about 20 stairs or walk around the side of the building to the disabled lift. It still doesn't get you where you need to be and no offer of help from staff.
There are no telephones in the rooms and in order to reach the front desk, room service or housekeeping, you need to download the Village app onto your Android or smartphone. The app is very unreliable.
There is no fridge, safe, Kleenex or glasses in the rooms. There is inadequate storage for your clothes as there is only a drawer in the desk and one beside the full length mirror.
There is no place in the hotel to even buy toothpaste and as you are in a business park, there is nothing close by.
This hotel caters to gym rats and business people, not for travelers looking for a nice hotel stay.

The rooms and facilities e.g. gym,.pool were nice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately when I was there they were doing works on their Starbucks outlet and my room was directly above. This went on until about 11.30 pm. They also had a number of functions going on at the hotel that evening, Xmas parties. My room was at the front meaning that as all the guests left loudly until about 3.30am I was kept awake

Contemporary rooms and pleasant staff on hand at all times. Shem and Alice were particularly helpful. My only reservation would be the time taken to get served food and drink. I'd put this down to being very busy, virtually every day I stayed.

Expensive rooms and relatively clean ( minus under the beds dust/someone's hairbrush/ extra TV remote) , we had been given two tea bags so asked for a few more and they never arrived, did spoil the wake up routine.
Unfortunate to have loud guests in rooms near us slamming doors and shouting all morning.

I’ve visited this Hotel on a number of occasions to use the gym, cafe, pub, and the private function room. I mainly use the gym whenever I visit the area.
It’s conveniently located between Bury and Heywood, just of the M66. The gym is a fair size with a mix of equipment and free weights you’d expect in any gym, they have private trainers too if that’s what you’re looking for. In addition they have organized classes. Changing and shower facilities are always clean and pretty spacious.
After a session it’s nice to have the option of the pub or cafe, depending on what time of day it is ad pond what plans you have with the rest of the day.
Staff are always pleasant and helpful, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a local gym with decent amenities.

Was attending a function not staying overnight. Its several years since I've been here and it's looking very tired. The staff in the function room were very good and the food not bad.

I have mixed reviews about the Village hotel. Having used the gym and frequented the other facilities, I don’t feel the service always measures up to the ethos The Village Hotel.
This leaves me in a quandary whether I want to continue there or not.

Rooms are a bit basic, but beds are lovely to sleep in, showers are fantastic. Food is good, and prompt service. TV sky availability is poor, needs an upgrade. Overall worth the money.
