Clean nice leisure facilities. Wrong room was given but reception quickly sorted this. Great Starbucks on site. Pool and changing facilities nice. Nice pub next door for dinner and drinks. Bathroom clean

Hotel was clean and tidy - evening meal was good as part of the added extra you can book on line. Rooms are to dark and can hear motorway noise and the fella next door snoring. Didn't get my bill by email and when I chased it had been overcharged. Refund on the way though.

Anniversary overnighter, would've been perfect but for out of control rugby team from Leeds whilst coaches/parents drank in the bar! Took the staff two visits before they were brought under control! Shame!!

Attended a private function and found all the staff friendly and helpful, great facilities at the hotel and found the whole experience was fantastic. Have already recommended this hotel to friends who are looking at hotels in the area.

We arrived with our luggage and there were something like 15 steps up to the reception area and as I have a bad chest this was not acceptable. Also, the self check in machines are dreadful and put me off staying at the Village hotels in the future as a warm smile and a pleasant receptionist is much better and a deciding factor in our choice of hotel. The lighting in the room was poor and probably classed as seductive but you cannot read a book or a newspaper once it goes dark as the lighting is not good enough without a struggle which takes the pleasure out of reading! We came for an overnight rest and not to use the spa or leisure facilities so yes we had a break but please take note of our comments. We had lunch out at The Garside in Burrs Country Park and a snack in the evening. The prices for drinks in the bar are expensive and the quality of the food; choice of menu limited and prices are expensive for what you get so we tend to avoid eating at the Village Hotels when we stay in Village Hotels all over the country.

This hotel is average. The hotel was clean and rooms have been recently upgraded which was good.
It is a good location just off the motorway.
I used the swimming pool etc which was fine. Nothing amazing to say about it but generally on the whole ok.
I was here for a function- food was average too- nothing special but can't complain

rooms are good, except the ones facing the M66 are a little noisy, and the venetian blind only do not keep the light out very. When used with the roller blind the aremore effective but these are not fitted in all rooms.

Good clean hotel. They have taken away the friendly welcome by having you check in & out by using computers which spoils it!! The staff were always friendly and helpful but now it was theres the computer for check in go yourself and on leaving drop your key in the box and we will send your email receipt!!

I stayed here with some co workers for 3 days whilst on a business trip.
To start with there is no easy access with your cases other than to climb several steps.
You are then greeted with a self check in system which doesn't speed anything up and you still need the satff to assist.
However the room was nice and we eat in both the restaurant and bar, both of which were excellent meals.
On check out the invoices are then emailed to you so you dont get the chance to review first, We had asked that the invoices were made out to the company which we were assured they were but on receiving them they had not, this then meant we needed to get a human being to re do the invoices.
They seem very keen on using technology to try to save wages or time but myself and my colleages only found that realistically it slowed down the whole process from check in to check out.
Overall it wasn't a bad hotel but you definately felt like you were a number being processed rather than a customer.
