Stayed over for our anniversary. They allowed us to check in early as the room was ready which was great. We had a club room which was nice but had no bath, not a major issue though! Overall enjoyed the whole stay

I am came to the hotel. Thought I would it be a good night sleep instead Doors banging and lots of shouting. Other than that place was nice to stay but no welcoming to the hotel would also be good for a sign to rooms

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting relatives. Very very dark decor. Whilst the double glazing keeps out traffic noise, the tissue thin walls and internal doors mean that you can hear everything being said in the corridor outside. Breakfast very good, and all staff friendly and helpful

Excellent room with a fantastic bed and television, good to watch the football, quiet with no noise even though there were functions going on throughout the weekend. Breakfast was up to its usual standard and plenty available

On arrival we were greeted with a machine to check in. The girl on reception asked us to follow the instructions. Once we'd checked in, we asked if we were able to use the gym during our stay and told we could. We weren't however shown where it was or the direction of our room so we wandered about for a few minutes trying to find where to go, until someone stopped us to ask if we were ok and showed us the way.

The room was decorated lovely and the facilities in the room were great, however, there was a yellow stain on the shower floor and quite a few hairs too. I wasn't confident that it had been cleaned to a high standard.

When it came to bed time (around 2130) as soon as I walked into the room I could hear loud music. I really didn't know what was going on. I went to the phone to call reception, but there was no number for reception, only numbers for the other parts of the hotel. I went to bed and put earplugs in to try and block out the music, but I could still hear it clearly and could feel the bass through the bed. I resigned myself to the fact it could take a while to get off to sleep and was kept awake for some time. I managed to drift off and woke not long after to the music even louder than it was previously!!

In the morning we went down for breakfast. There was no-one to greet us at the restaurant after we waited for a good 5 minutes. I spoke to the girl on reception who said just to go through and there would be someone there to meet us. Went through and there was no one around that was obviously staff so we just went to find a table. Made our way up to the hotplate, where the food was swimming in grease. The scrambled egg was pasty white and tasted of nothing and there wasn't much else to choose from for a healthy breakfast.

After breakfast, we went to the front desk to check out. I asked the lady there, what the loud music was for as it was very disturbing. She said that it was for a prom. I said that I could still hear it through earplugs it was that loud and that I could feel the bass through the bed. And she said 'aww really. it was that loud?' No apology, no nothing.

If I had to stay here in future I would definitely ask if there are any big events going on that may disturb your sleep. If I'd known about the loud music I would have asked for a room as far away from it as possible, but this was not made known to me until it was too late. And even then I couldn't get in touch with Reception by phone.

Nice hotel good facilities. needs better security, as was woken up several times through the night by people knocking on our door, people arguing, shouting. Not nice when we have two little girls with us. And the lift was broken when we checked out also do not fun going down two flights of stairs with two little girls and all of our luggage! Other than that it was a nice stay, they just need to address the issue of drunks coming up from the bar downstairs.

I stayed recently at the hotel for 3.5 weeks with a large group. The staff could not be more accommodating during this time. They were quick to react to any requests and ensured that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Jodie and her team were excellent and i would have no hesitation in going back.
