I booked this hotel as i was attending a conference there. I considered the cost ler room rather pricy, but i had no other options due to the conference being held at the same venue. Generally speaking the hotel met my needs on that occasion. The rooms are clean and tidy, but basic. The leisure facilities are very good. I had a slight problem with the drumming noice of the traffic on the nearby motorway, which did interupt my sleep. The staff were very helpful and polite. Overall an ok stay for a short break.

Don't upgrade to club room I don't think it's worth the money. Lovely decor but too many lamps in the bedroom when it could have benefited from having more mains power sockets. Also the tassimo machine isn't stocked well enough! No milk pods just the coffee pods. I rang reception to ask if someone could bring me some milk on the first morning we were there (my birthday) 8am to be told I could go and get my own! Not what I wanted to hear! Room temperature bottled water and sky tv that can't be paused and doesn't have on demand. The bed was very luxurious with gorgeous down bedding that was very high quality. The restaurant is good but very expensive. There is a pub on the other side of the road that does great breakfast for half the price and definitely cheaper alcoholic drinks, the hotel charges £25 for a bottle of Zinfandel rosé! The spa and pool are good, no need to bring towels they are provided by the leisure reception. I'd recommend going swimming early or later as they have kids swim in the afternoon. Felt very looked after in the spa. Would go to the spa again but probably wouldn't stay in the hotel again.

Stayed at the Bury Village Hotel on a recent Sunday evening. Hotel buzzing and busy. Received a warm reception and given a super room. Loved the large beds and television. Shower room brilliant. Good location near motorway and not far from town centre. Would certainly consider staying at a Village Hotel again.

Much better than our last visit as hotel has been refurbished. Bedrooms are comfortable although quite dark. Bathrooms need refurbishing. Nice health club and changing rooms and showers have also been refurbished. Would stay here again as long as the price is good value.

Nice big rooms but were a bit dark even with all lights on. Bathroom was nice and airy.
However, no complimentary bottled water in the room especially considering that we paid over £100 per room! Sad.

Hotel is lovely with a great spa, but no vegan option for evening meal. I was offered a "chicken and feta salad without the chicken and feta, with a different dressing." For no cheaper (£14!) this must be addressed both for vegans and those with allergies (including children), especially as the hotel is located away from a city centre with alternative dining options.

Any off-work thing you need in your business travel you can find inside the hotel. In this kind of travel, usually there is no time for looking for a gym, pool, pub or restuarant. But in Village Hotel you can find them without going out and the room is very suitable for working inside, great free wifi.
The only negative tips:
- price a bit expensive
- although the room was very comfortable, I could hear a conversation from the neighbour room.

Nice hotel overall, great value for money, rooms clean and tidy and staff are friendly. The food overall is good too and I would stay there again. Parking is ample and I would recommend upgrading to the club class. Probably could do with air conditioning in the rooms, not such an issue now as the weather is now cooler.

First time here. Large carpark. Big sign outside say undergoing refurbishment hmmm.
Self check in which was ok but after a long drive I would have preferred the human touch.
The room was odd. Quite minimalistic with a very low bed. Reminded me of a bed sit. There were bulbs missing from the table lamps.
The bathroom was tired. Free wifi though.
I ate in he bar restaurant which was acceptable but gourmet as stated the burger was not. Check out was also self service.
I hope the refurbishment works.

Friendly helpful welcome, comfy bed, pubic! hair from previous occupants in the shower cubicle. Great leisure facilities. Food in pub not so good and left most of it and too tired to complain. Great location just off motorway and ample parking.
