The reception staff Emma was great very helpful and friendly. Our room was good just way to hot even with Dyson cool and windows open. The tribute night entertainment was good but the whole set up of the room was terrible and very poor in terms of health and safety considerations to the guests. We were on a long table where we were packed in like sardines! We couldn't even pull our chairs out to get into them we had to climb to get into our seats. If there had been a fire we'd have really struggled and it'd have been chaos. Also, we booked for a table of 13 but when we arrived there was only 12 seats on our table and no room for our 13th guest who had to leave and go home because it was obvious there was nowhere for her to as it was over packed as it was. The entertainment and food were really good. The hot plates had to be passed down the guests using towels provided by the staff as the waitresses and waiters couldn't get near us to serve them because the chairs were packed in so tightly back to back. This was a hazard as we had all been drinking and the plates were hot requiring towels to handle them and we had to do this for each course served which was ridiculous. The spa facilities were great and we didn't realise there was a hot tub in there so that made our day lovely and warm. Also a nice vibe in there, friendly people other than the lady on reception at the leisure club who looked down her nose at us and was very abrupt and rude. I would go to the hotel again but I would think twice about the tribute night which is a shame because the entertainment and food were good but the room was overcrowded and as mentioned the fire hazard and healthy and safety aspect was terribly thought out. Also we found the breakfast expensive so we dined over at the waterfold farm pub where it was less than half the cost of the village breakfast.

Great hotel. The staff, service and facilities were perfect. We had a great time. The central reservation Team appalling though. Do not make a mistake when booking on the website they were of no help. However, when I got through to the hotel they saved the day.

Stayed here after getting an extremely good deal in the Village summer sale (which even included friday and saturday night which was a change). The first room we went in the Sky box did not work but when we told the staff they were really helpful and came up straight away to sort it own. When they couldn't we were moved to a new room straight away.

The bed is extremely comfortable and as part of the club room the dyson fan was a nice extra, as was the coffee machine. The bathroom was really modern and the shower was really great.

Only things which let the hotel down is how busy it is. There were a couple of weddings on which included bagpipes which could be heard from our room.

Also, the breakfast was extremely disappointing. In such a highly rated hotel with it's own restaurant you would think it would be a lot better. There was a limited choice for the cooked breakfast and the items that were there were either not very well cooked or seemed like they had been there a while. The only saving grace was the pastries and yoghurts.

Nice hotel if you're in the area but opt for breakfast elsewhere.

Excellent hotel and always look forward to our stays here! The hotel is clean and well presented. The beds redardless of Club or standard rooms are exceptionally comfortable. I have back problems and never have a problem sleeping here. The rooms are spacious, cosy, well exquipped and the staff are delight from the minute you walk in until you leave despite whether they are welcoming you, serving you in a bar/restaurant or cleaning rooms. They are all happy, professional and friendly! Highly recommend - I stay when I come to visit relatives at least 4 times a year and have now started combining it with meeting friends too and they also stay... it so good even my friends from Bolton stay rather than get taxi's! 😃👍

It was our first visit to Manchester and we couldn't get a better place than this in Bury. We were given a warm welcome and everything was good. Amazing view, friendly staff and delicious food. Overall too good.

We booked via the hotels website. The deal was a Sunday night stay for a couple for £50.00 we added breakfast and the total each was £32.50.
We arrived at 2pm, checked in, unpacked and headed to the pool.
We enjoyed the swim, jacuzzi, sauna and steam.
All included in the price.
We then enjoyed a few drinks in the pub and a 2 course meal in the restaurant. Again included in the price.
The we enjoyed our stay and will definitely book the Sunday special again.
