Stayed for 2 nights. Found check in a bit impersonal having to use iPad to check in - however got checked in and went up to our room pretty quickly. Room was nice and clean and was quiet for our stay. Found the fan not powerful enough and would of preferred air con or a better fan. Had evening meal in the restaurant the following day and the food was lovely and pretty reasonable - would stay here again if the price was right.

Self check in was fab, straight up to our Club room. Room was well presented very clean and tidy. tea and coffee facilities, water provided. Bed was very comfortable. We went down for dinner and made it for tiki tiki bar which was a wonderful, dinner was lovely, plentiful and very tasty. Breakfast was self service and really good. All staff we met were very helpful and considerate especially with myself with allergies. All in all a great stay.

Good modern hotel with friendly staff. Enjoyed use of the swimming pool. Breakfast in Starbucks (porridge and fruit toast) very good. You can take a walk from the hotel along a local nature trail beside a river.

The hotel was beautiful, very quit place (apart from the noise outside after some kind of prom)
The rooms were big enough.
The bathroom was nice but from my point of view, it could have been a bit cleaner.
The food in the pub & grill was very good, i loved that they had some vegitarian food on the menu (The wrap with sweet potato fries was very good!)
Overal it was a pleasant stay!

I recently held my wedding here after finding a really cheap and unbelievable offer. We wanted our whole wedding under one roof to have the easiness of not having to change locations. Whilst booking the wedding my family didnt believe how good the offer was they would ring as it was 'too good to be true' but were wrong as it really was too good of a deal! Nothing was too much of an ask to the wedding coordinator and met on occasions to discuss the day and see the room. Fast forward to our wedding day and the staff and hotel were amazing and couldnt do enough for us. The day ran brilliantly and myself and all my guests had the best time. The ceremony was beautiful, drinks were given out, the room was set up beautifully and the night do and DJ were just again fantastic. Couldn't recommend enough!
Thank you again the Village! From the new Mr and Mrs Blackburn

We were very pleased with the room (137) as we were upgraded to a club room but it was a long walk through to the back of the hotel (up 1 floor, 2 corridors then down 2 floors). The room was great, with free water, wi-fi and a dyson air fan. (otherwise there was no air con).It was large and the TV was enormous. The bathroom was good but no handrails in the shower(so not good for my aged husband). We left after breakfast (£9.99 each) the following morning to go to a wedding.
On our return at 8pm our key cards did not work and our room had not been cleaned. Reception were not interested in the cleaning aspect and we had to phone housekeeping. This was after going to our room, back to reception and back to our room. Quite a trek for 2 70 year olds. Housekeeping sorted out clean towels, coffee and water but obviously the room was not cleaned.
Next morning we had breakfast at the pub over the road and it was just as good as this hotel but only cost £4.99 each.
So mixed reactions.

What’s good - staff friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Room generally well equipped, very clean, good housekeeping. Gym very well equipped. Pool very good.
Less good - room doesn’t cope with hot weather. Ventilation limited, though Dyson fan helped. Food quality and choices at breakfast were mediocre. Food quality Sunday lunch likewise.
Disappointing - loud intrusive music ( mainly screechy ballads) in all public areas made conversation difficult. Reworking of bar/restaurant and it’s bar into one space. It’s no longer a restaurant experience, just like going into a pub instead. Not an improvement, and did I mention the appalling music?
Overall, lodging works well, food & beverage less so

Nice friendly staff. We didn’t get the relaxing time in the pool we had hoped for. Not the place to relax. Nice room just a little dark. Lovely breakfast and the staff noticed when we needed to move tables for our evening meal.
