Unfortunately my trip was a bit spoiled by the lift being out of order. I am disabled and had to use the tiny service lift which opened into laundry cupboards. I regularly git stuck trying to exit the lift and had to be assisted by other guests as they heard me call for help.

This hotel is the host the event held annually by my wife and her sister in memory of there mum to raise funds for Bury hospice. All the events, of which there have been three have gone perfectly.

Hotel very good just off the motorway. Ample car parking at hotel. Reception is electric check in but staff were there to help if you get stuck. Room was very clean and staff rectified a problem we had within 15 minutes. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. TV has sky sports and cinema if you are in club or above level. Only 2 downsides to our stay: 1)there was a wedding on and the DJ played extremely loud music and when we complained there wasn't any subsidence to the noise which echoed because the rooms are not soundproof. 2) the pillows are horrendously hard. I suppose this is only a personal thing but if you require a softer pillow they will provide. All in all though it was very comfortable.

We Spent the day here for a family wedding and we had a brilliant time. The wedding room was beautifully done & the ceremony was perfect. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was great and we had such a lovely time! The drinks are pricey but that was the only negative.

We just had coffee in Starbucks. That said, parking is a nightmare, their is a leisure complex and a hotel (no? Really?) So parking is not easy due to the lycra clad millions, though I suppose timing might be the trick.
Starbucks is small and a little bit noisy from the reception goings on. Average.

My little boys really enjoy the pool. The changing rooms are good but the last few times we have been they have been in need of a clean.
Also a guy took my towel from the poolside, the life guard immediately got me another.
The new layout for the eating area is really nice, a little too far away from the toilets when taking kids along.

If you intend to stay at this hotel with a toddler and baby beware its extremely hot with no aircon in the rooms. Im staying in a family room. I have been informed that this is one of the older village hotels with no aircon in any of the rooms. Its abit of a maze to get around to find your room if you have an upgraded room so you may get lost. The service is great. The receptionist has done everything to help and gave additional fans. You will need to sleep with the fans on at night.

Hotel and gym / pool facilities were very nice. However, the evening meal was so salty that it was inedible! I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and had to send it back which isn't like me, the replacement wrap was also very salty !
