My room was OK. clean and what I would have expected. Dinner was OK but it was thrown at us by staff who had no understanding of service. The bar was soulless and occupied by loud people ready for a night at clubs. Saturday confirmed that when you say the dismal state they were in.
Not for me.

Located near to Bury centre being a 10-15 minute walk away. This is a substantial hotel complex with the usual bar, restaurant and lounge areas which are modern, clean and spacious. There is also a fitness health centre within the facilities including a large swimming pool. The hotel exterior at the front is quite an impressive sight as you approach up the steps and into the reception area which also has a Starbucks coffee shop. Reception staff were efficient and checking in was quick and easy. The reception staff were helpful when requesting information of surrounding areas such as shops and restaurants.
The room was spacious, modern and clean. The heating could be controlled within the room. mood lighting could be improved as when packing to go I had to move everything near to a light to see properly. Never ate in this hotel apart from breakfast which was a buffet. The fresh fruits and yogurt was excellent but the "Fry-up" was abit disappointing. Think this is because it is a buffet and the black pudding, eggs, etc end up sitting there for too long and end up overcooked i.e. hard yolks, crispy black pudding and items soaked in grease. However the staff in the restaurant were very good clearing table quickly leaving the place looking tidy.
Overall, this is good hotel and for the price is exceptional value and would go again if I was in the area.

The Village is big. Spa, big pool, sports bar, restaurant, Starbucks coffee shop and I admit not MY sort of hotel usually. There was a 21st/18th/wedding on when we booked in for one night but the rate was good (£59 per room with cot). The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, there was free Wi Fi, flat screen TV and the water was hot. It WAS noisy, a herd of elephants in the room above and a lot of slamming doors until the early hours and I wouldn't book a weekend again BUT the service was good and I was surprised by the restaurant. I am a healthy eater and fussy but there were several things on the menu I could have had and what I DID choose was plentiful, reasonable and well cooked. The wine WAS expensive but I think it is everywhere now (I live in Mallorca) and the SA Merlot was excellent. Service was good though a little on the slow side. The '"Head Waiter" (sorry I did not get his name) was very attentive and recommended a meal which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed, At breakfast he went through everything, took his time and you never felt rushed. A real asset to the hotel. I would stay again but during the week next time,

We arrived on Saturday afternoon, received a warm welcome.it was the night before my wedding.as the evening went on we had eaten in the restaurant which was lovely.at 1am the bar closed and we used the residents bar by Andre who was extremely friendly and so well mannered an asset to the hotel I work in a hotel and know how hard it is to find hard working staff.on going to the reception desk I was talking to Andre with my friends but also on the desk was a very rude man who I know know as Dave he was so miserable and could not be bothered I asked who he was and he said he was the manager well job swap comes to mind, the hotel is lovely and we had a lovely time it's the staff who let you down on customer service, would we return Yes only because of a nice young man.who I would employ myself

Visted the Grill for food - we did not stay in the hotel. The food was excellent but even though the restaurant was not busy the service was very slow. My firend and I had the fillet steak and it was one of the best I have tasted for quite some time. Well presented but the slow service was evident. On the whole I would still recommend it,

This hotel was easy to find and very nicely decorated.

I had an upgraded upper deck room- i wouldnt say it was worth £120 but it was a very nice room. The bed was comfy the range of drinks was brill.

I had room service and that was great.

The staff were very friendly

The gym was amazing- very big with lots of choice and the pool looked awesome but didnt make it that far!

Would reccommend this hotel to all.

Have just returned from an overnight stay courtesy of work for our Christmas party. Have never stayed with village urban resorts before but will definitely go again, can't believe it's taken this long to stay when there's 3 villages within 20 miles from me.
I've read other reviews but can only comment on my stay. All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the disco and entertainment were great. Will definitely return.

Met with friends for lunch and ate in the Victory pub.Chose this place because it was a "halfway house" and easy to find. It's not classy, but it did the job. The good was passable and there were two real ales. The staff were businesslike. There were good value meal deals.
Not a place to go for style or glamour but OK in a Beefeaters kind of way.

Stayed here for 2 nights over the Xmas period. We asked for a quiet room based on previous reviews re noise and was allocated room 178 - it's a bit of a trek to get to but very quiet. Room had king size bed and usual amenities, bathroom could have done with a bit of tlc though but wasn't bad. Reception staff were friendly and I'd suggest going to breakfast earlier or face a queue. The breakfast itself was ok, not much choice but at £59 a night, you get what you pay for.

We stayed here as part of our works Christmas party. Excellent Hotel. Very modern and clean, the rooms were huge and ultra modern. The party its self was brill with the food excellent, drinks a little pricey but you would expect that in a hotel I guess. Shame we never got the chance to try the swimming pool !

Only issue I did have was that we did go for breakfast fairly late, so there wasn't a lot lefty and it was cold.

All in all though would def recommend
