Not liking self service at front of house, aside from this an excellent team and above average hotel. Breakfast buffet acceptable, we need warm croissants and chocolat au pain, espresso was brilliant, bar ladies and chap are consistently on top form, visited three times in last year, same staff ( low turnover) same high level.

We stayed at thus hotel following a party night. The service was very efficient, room clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone . My friends and I had a brilliant night when we attended a 'dirty dancing' tribute party night , and then stayed over at the hotel. It was lovely not to have to worry about taxis or pick ups late at night. Value for money was very good in a shared bedroom. Followed by a lovely relaxed breakfast the next morning before making our way back home.

Hi,
The hotel is not bad, but a bit dark for my taste. There is no light on the ceiling in the room, and the windows are small. The swimming pool was nice, and they have sauna too. The restaurant was amazing and the food was very tasty. I wouldn't go back, because of the customer service. At the arrival they told us that breakfast comes with the booking. It was toast, beans, eggs, the usual breakfast buffet, nothing special. After leaving the hotel in the afternoon I saw that they took money from my account for the breakfasts. 10 pounds per person per breakfast. I called the hotel for an explanation, as the breakfast was supposed to be included in our reservation, and the staff had plenty of opportunities to let us know if it wasn't. First I thought it was a mistake, but the receptionist said that she can't see our account and can't help, but she would get someone to contact us. No one contacted us, so I emailed the hotel the next day, but we got no response. So because of the unexplained charges after leaving the hotel, I wouldn't go back again.

First stay for me at Village hotel. I arrived 10pm and was greeted with a checkin machine to do your booking and room key yourself. Fair enough. All worked ok but would have been nice someone saying "welcome". Eventually found my room. Sounds daft but the signage around the hotel is very confusing. One sign says reception floor 2, you take lift to floor 2, but reception is actually ground floor. My room was 175 and listed as first floor on lift sign. It actually on the ground floor. Not sure if two parts of hotel not joined up and you "got to go up to go down" but painful when lumping your bags around.

Big downside of automated checkin - no human element to put drunk people down another part of hotel. At 1.30am I was woken but lads kicking their door as key won't work, and arguing with each other. Just can't help to think if someone was there this problem would have been gone. As was rooms just assigned in a row and tough who you get next to you.

Plus side, the gym was well equipped and the pool and spa areas are good. No interaction from any staff though.

Breakfast was ok, but no smily faces from people. Again you in, sat, out...

Checkout, drop key, off you go..... nobody to say "goodbye"........

A clean, well kept hotel but needs to become a little bit more "personal".

Nice Hotel with plenty free parking. Club Room had a massive TV and SKY HD Package and bathroom was large, clean and modern. Really good amenities and easy walking distance to the Metrolink for Manchester. Overall had a great weekend away and was real value for money.
Only downside is no air conditioning and road noise from the motorway.

Our stay at the the village hotel in bury was fantastic. Defiantly good value for money. Everything was perfect at the hotel. The only small fault, was the directions to our room at the club room on the top floor was a little confusing. But everything else was spot on 😀 We have actually booked again to stay with yourselves this weekend.
Thank you again

We stayed at village hotel bury as 2 adults and 2 children. Good size hotel room, with great bathroom. Carvery was average and breakfast OK. Kids loved the swimming pool with the addition of floats made it a fab stay for them!
