Sent on a xmas night with work so booked this hotel for myself and 2 colleagues. First impressions of the hotel were great, and it just got better. The reception we received was warm and friendly and the process of checking in was very simple. Great room...great food...great service! Cannot fault this hotel and I will definitely be staying here again. Well done

Hotel a bit tired, needs refurbishing to brighten up the rooms . Too many stripes in the bedroom and bathroom, needs to be a more neutral colour, wall and floor merged into one. The staff are very helpful and friendly, can't do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. Good place to stay if you want to be near Bury, which we did, so would recommend it.

excellent hotel, staff and weekend the function we were there for was good and very well organised, the food was piping hot when served. All this was spoilt by a ruckus in the bar late on caused by people not staying at the hotel but there to watch boxing on tv

Very helpful friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms very clean and spacious. Leasure facilities excellent, breakfast was really good I even got a dippy egg. We have had a great time we will defiantly return.

For a Christmas party experience it was good as always, rooms lovely & clean. Drinks expensive but they have a captive audience, not like you can go to the supermarket! Will stay again next year if our party is held there!

Lovely stay however a few things need to change before we would return, not enough storage for clothes in the room for a family of four, very dark in the room, had to ask for eggs both mornings as they had run out,no hash browns or black pudding, run out of croissants, unable to eat in restaurant due to party so had to eat in the dreadful pub over the road with children running around breaking everything in the play area.
The arm chairs in reception let the overall appearance down as they are ripped and dirty and the same for the breakfast chairs, seems crazy that all this money has been clearly spent on hotel and these have been forgotten.

Booked the room online & expected the usual spa hotel.
Arrived to find the large car park nearly full and the hotel reception between a heaving pub & throbbing disco. A bit of a surprise.
Fortunately we'd eaten earlier as there didn't seem to be a quiet restaurant for dinner.
Luckily the room was completely quiet and away from all the noise and the beds are exceptionally comfortable so the overnight experience was very good.
Didn't use the spa in the end because we arrived so late.

Basically this was a disconnect between the hotel seen on the web site; classy, up market spa, and the actual hotel; popular night out sport with rooms and a gym.
Not a quiet retreat but I'd bet a fantastic place for a wedding (if granny is into disco) or any part where you want to stay after the revels.

Average hotel with good facilities (pub, restaurant, gym and spa). Gym is well equipped and modern. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room lighting seriously needs attention. It really does let the hotel down.

Great stay beds are huge the only gripe is duvet was a bit heavy but that's just my preference rooms are spotlessly clean and wish they would swap those coffee machines for kettles overall a great night and would stay again

Don't stay in a club room if you want to sleep. Directly over main entrance and bar and nightclub. Heard every club track as well as all guests leaving or hanging around outside smoking. Shower cubicle leaks and rooms are too dark.
