Bought a Vauhall Insignia 6 months ago and everything was fine until 6 months later when the exhaust and tires needed replacing. This was minor because I had a clutch failure and had to replace the burst slave cylinder and had to get the flywheel changed also. The bill was nearly sixteen hundred pounds. NEVER BUY FROM THIS CAR COMPANY. It might seem a good deal but in the future it will cost you a fortune with repairs!

Noticed scratches on drivers side when I first viewed the car was told not to worry that would all be done and sorted before I collected the car polished and sorted I came back few days later to say I would have the car as long as they promised to sort the scratches out again mobs assured me they would be done arranged to collect the car few days later scratches still on car asked why they wasn't done was told that they tried to give it qwick buff but I will need to bring it back at my convenience and they will sort it so far I have phoned them three times to try and arrange a day mobs said he would call me back but as not I have phoned twice and have been told he is not at his desk but have not been asked what my enquire was about just told to ring him back not great after sales guys

The car I have bought from The Car Company is ok. However, when I looked round it, 4 out of the 5 (inc spare) tyres were either on or below the legal limit. I mentioned this & was assured any worn tyres would be replaced. When I went to pick up the car, they said that all the tyres were fine & didn't need changing! The spare had no tread left on it at all!
Secondly I was given all sorts of paperwork to sign, amongst which was a form for me to fill out & verify the car's condition. I only realized when I got home, that they had already ticked all the boxes to say it was fine. Remember this is a form I was supposed to complete in its entirety. As it turns out, the car is ok, however I would have had no come back, if i'd found something dodgy at home.
They took my car in as part exchange. Again there was too much smoke & mirrors regarding the price & condition etc. The salesman had to go out of the room on 5 occasions, to discuss the deal with his boss! Coming back each time, making out he was on our side in the negotiations.
All in all, it was like dealing with a stereotypical "used car salesman". If he'd introduced himself as Arthur Daley or Dell Boy I wouldn't have been surprised.
I know they are in the business to make money, however this shouldn't be at the cost of customers satisfaction.
Would I buy a car from The Used Car Company again? Probably not. Unless I was a cash buyer & had my bulls**t filter turned up to the max!
