The bathroom was designed by someone very tall. Sink too high - toiletries fixed to the wall too high. Sink too near toilet so the toilet paper got splashed. Shower thoughtlessly designed.
Pillows like bricks.

Dont want to harp on about the hotel but unhappy with how we was treated. Complained about two things, neither of which were solved. Complained via letter, no response. Offered a free coffee, no good as I had to be somewhere on business in the morning. Pillows hard, horrendous noise in hotel. Can only do a one vote on sleep, should be zero.

The room was excellent apart from the pillows were too hard, glassware in the bathroom would have been appreciated and a bin was needed in the bedroom. At breakfast pots of tea are better than jugs of hot water as these were not hot enough to make a good cup of tea.

Second time we have stayed here and it was just as good as the last! Love the atmosphere at this hotel, the staff are amazing, the rooms are spotless and there is such a lovely, homely feel to the place :) we have stayed in one of the club rooms both times and they were great! Full range of sky channels on a big 50’’ TV, comfy bed, Dyson cool fan in the room, modern, funky bathroom with ESPA products included such as handsoap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The gym is also great as well as the pool! Food wise, I cannot comment as we did not eat at the hotel. Will definitely be returning in the future as we really love this place! Thank you village hotel bury 👍

Was a great hotel friendly staff only issues was it was advertised as espresso maker and free bottled water for upgraded club rooms but got neither but this is why i upgraded to the club room otherwise its just a basic room. Pillows are quite hard but overall its a great hotel just better to advertise the rooms better to avoid customers not getting what was advertised and paid for.

This was a treat for my mums birthday...me and mum time.... Much needed. Hotel Spa booked for her... Full body massage. She loved it. Room was lovely... Shower was amazing... Products absolutely gorges... Pool was a little cold... But was told before using it. Dinner at night time was lovely... Ask for a birthday singsong with candle... But didn't get it.. But to be fair my mum wasn't bother. Sleep was great and breakfast very nice

The Village hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate, just off the motorway though! Not a bad hotel but a little soulless. The room was clean and large and the bed comfortable. The Bar/Restaurant was good, busy, had the football on, with very good staff. Food was OK, I had a deal for dinner bed and breakfast, but the dinner turned out to be up to a maximum of £15 which limited what I could have off the menu severely.
Breakfast is always an issue for me it seems, this was buffet style, with not quite hot food, lukewarm water for tea and a toaster that doesn't work properly.. All pretty standard I guess.

Stopping here this weekend, as the local Leisure centre has a Bonsai show on,
Arrived at hotel about 1.30pm as payed for early check in, £5 extra on top of a £266. room rate, have been charged extra, unsure why, will sort out tomorrow when manager is back on duty, staying 2 nights, room over looks a stream, and mosquitoes are in abundance when window is open, perhaps that's why the room has a Dyson Fan in it, so you dont have the windows open, heating is a simple thing to use with a slide and an on/ off switch.
Room decent size and so it should be, unfortunately no fridge, or bottled water, or Glasses for a drink over night, so get one from the bar and take it back to room,
No extra pillows, or safe in room, but we have a 50"+ tv on the wall, tea/ coffee making facilities, kettle 2 cups and 2 tea, and 2 coffee , no good if you want a few drinks in room, ( ibis at Birmingham have a lot more drinks, inc hot chocolate) and is far cheaper..
Bed is large, but it is 2 beds pushed together with a ridge down the middle, which is uncomfortable, shower leaks water all over the floor, and has 2 shower heads, but small head has nowhere to hold it while showering, so left with a soft shower, plus points,
Room has a good few sockets and 2 sockets that take USB Jack's, by side of bed, wardrobe needs a few more hangers, luckily I brought more along, as only had 4 each for clothes in room, no good for longer than 1 night stay or staying here alone, no safe either in room,
Having a business centre here, not great if you have laptops or Stuff you dont want to carry around all day, nowhere safe to leave them.
Small desk for any work needs doing, and wifi in all rooms,
Carpark is a good size with plenty of disabled parking, and a lift for wheelchairs up to reception, and all floors for rooms,
Wide access doorways to all rooms,
Food is good, a little expensive, but that's hotels all over, tonight there was a girl singing and playing Guitar, and quite noisy, as restaurant is smallish and echoes a lot, plenty of tvs in the bar for football games, and plenty of guys that use the onsite gym in vest T Shirts, and tracksuits, so dont dress up for Dinner,
Has an onsite cafe, havent tried yet, but I will tomorrow after the show, so far it's been ok,
Booked through booking .com. breakfast tomorrow morning should be upto scratch, if not I will add to this review, later on .. easy to get to, just off the main road in a industrial area..

Overall, enjoyed our stay, got a very good deal. Hotel itself is nice, rooms are nicely decorated and good size. We stayed in club room. Starbucks was nice and Breakfast was also pleasant. A few problems we occurred - Pool area was nice but unfortunately on the sunday there was a problem with the pool temp so VERY cold. We were waiting at bar area after ordering a drink on the saturday night and got forgotten about so was waiting 20 minutes before we finally got our drink and we paid for late check out which is 1pm instead of 11am so after coming back from pool area at just after 11am on sunday morning, we was locked out of our room. Had to go downstairs to check out area and the front of house gentleman sorted our key card but when we went back up we was still locked out so had to go down again until it was sorted. He was very kind and helpful but Kind of took away the late check out as spent alot of it trying to get back in our room lol apart from them few blips, it was a nice stay and we would probably return.
