The Xmas party was good, great atmosphere, DJ brilliant, however the food was terrible and barstaff understaffed and undertrained. The hotel needs to improve in these areas, we pay good money for each party we don't expect a 15 minute wait at the bar.

Stayed at this hotel a few times for business. Really nice hotel, very helpful staff. My room was upgraded every time I stayed (maybe because I arrived quite late).
Food is served in both the restaurant and the pub which has sports on the big TVs all night.
The pool is nice too with a small sauna for a little R&R after work!

You are greeted immediately by super local, friendly staff who will help guide you to all the excellent services located just off the entrance. The surprisingly large pool and quality gym used by locals not just residents. The Starbucks is a stopping point for those passing by the motorway junction nearby. The restaurant is staffed by kind staff who are keen to help provide good, unobtrusive service. We were allowed to eat the pub food in the quiet restaurant.
The rooms were clean and modern with no fuss though don't expect a view! Perfect for visiting family and friends for a couple of nights but better than budget chains. We will return very soon.

This is the second time we've stayed as a couple however my partner used to stay there when he was working near Manchester. Lovely hotel with great rooms, lovely food (only had breakfast this time), great leisure facilities and an on site Starbucks. Check in is automatic via a touch screen, but still someone there to make it go smoothly. We've had a club room when we've stayed (both times) but my partner used to have a standard room - all good. Nice touch having the Tassimo coffee maker, very large comfy bed and a fab selection of sky channels. The bathroom is a good size with an awesome shower and very nice shower gel etc (forgot mine!). The hairdryer is a good one too and didn't take ages to dry my hair (like you usually get). Easy to find and close to main routes. Read some reviews that said there was noise but we've never experienced any issues.
Will definitely stay there again!

I attended an evening event at this amazing hotel. The entrance was grand and there were a bar and coffee shop in the main lobby as well. The venue hall used as spacious and had a reception room connected where the bar was placed. The food was amazing and so was the layout.
My only problem would be with the prices at the bar, for a half a pint of coca cola it cost £2.85. Other than this I would go again.

We went today for Sunday lunch. It used to be a carvery style and we were surprised to find out it isn't anymore and you only get the choice of either turkey or beef - not both. BUT.. the appetizers were amazing. Huge selection of salad pots, aperitifs, soup, rolls, pate, crudits.. very impressed! We did wait a while for the main but again it was delicious! Not really a fan of the chopping boards that its served on, but honestly the quality and quantity was perfect. Dessert selection was limited, either a lemon muffin or a chocolate muffin, but again the quality was wonderful.. particularly the lemon muffins, they were to die for!
So in summary, yes there are little niggles that could be improved upon (no condiments on table, slow service) but on the whole we were very impressed and will definitely be back. Well done Village Bury!

Rooms are clean but furniture a little worn and stained. Not bad but a few down points; Sky TV in the room didn't work and there was no phone in the room to ring down to reception. Food was nice but portion sizes small for the price (and no proper vegetarian sausages at breakfast just the old vegetable style ones) and a pint of IPA will set you back over £5. Room for improvement.

We met friends for a meal in the upper balcony area. The staff were really friendly and the range of different foods was excellent. We had the carvery but that included extra side dishes and lots of variety of sweets and puddings. The helpings weren't huge but they were varied. The helpings weren't huge but they were varied and very tasty. The only negative thing is that the prices are a little on the high side if you're just meeting somebody for a nice lunch but it was an amazing pleasurable experience and so you pay for that.

The hotel was fantastic. Stayed over on "Sunday night saver" and then upgraded to a club room. The room was lovely however there was no ESPA products at all in the room upon arrival. When I raised with housekeeping they were great and quickly resolved so I could enjoy a shower to freshen up. Used the gym, and pool facilities which were included with the upgrade, again couldn't fault. The food was very tasty and hot, however service was quite slow despite it being relatively quiet.
