I have recently returned from a stay at The Village. I was there for a wedding and the reception was held at the hotel, my room was therefore booked some time ago and a good rate was secured.

Generally I enjoyed my visit, the room was comfortable and well equipped, food in the bar on the Friday night was of an acceptable standard (as part of a Friday offer it was only £2.50 for a burger and chips so I can't really complain!). Breakfast was decent, although I can't say I was very keen on their sausages. I used the gym facilities which were very good and I am reliably informed that the swimming pool was good too.

There were a couple of down points, the card reader on my room's door packed up which led to some degree of concern but I must commend the staff on their (ultimately successful) efforts to get me back in. The place also seemed a little gloomy. These are fairly minor matters though.

The hotel is next to the moterway junction to Bury. Just about a mile to town centre. You got all the facilities you need in a hotel. Free parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Starbuck Cafe inside the hotel.
Swimming pool is large and lovely, but it might be a bit too noisy sometimes when filled with kids.

The reception staff were lovely and very helpful, the room was gorgeous, very chic and comfy. everything we needed was already there, my partner and i went to have a meal in the "verve grill" but as it was a busy weekend we would have been waiting 1hr 45mins for a table, starving we opted for the pub/bar, it was very nice a little pricey but nothing out of the ordinary, we then used the hotel facilities, gym, pool and sauna which was great! the bed was extremely comfortable with a selection of hard and soft pillows, which was also great!! we only stayed the one night but it was brilliant, it made our little get away that much more special. will be booking again :)

As I live in the Manchester area I have often passed this hotel on my way to Bury. I have noticed that it always seems to be very popular, (judging by the number of cars in the large car park). Having now been on a weekend break to 'The Village' I realise why it is so popular.
The room was delightful, clean, smart, spacious and very well equipped. The hotel could not offer more; there is something for everyone here, the pub, restaurant, coffee shop. All of these have special offers and the quality is exceptional. The Health and fitness suite is superb, offering a large swimming pool, very large well equipped gym, steam room, sauna, sun showers, Jacuzzi, hot tub and lovely large changing rooms all the necessary facilities.
I must say the most outstanding feature of this hotel was. Without a shadow of a doubt, the staff! My husband and I were so impressed with the attitude of each and every member of staff that we came into contact with. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly and professional receptionist and given all the information we needed. The restaurant staff were excellent and the restaurant Manager was delightful, professional and a fabulous sense of humour without being intrusive. It would be impossible to find a grumpy or unpleasant member of staff in this hotel all credit to the hotel Manager whom I believe has a strong belief in delivering excellent customer service. I have to say it really shows. A long time since we have been anywhere that made us feels so welcome and comfortable.
Impossible to fault this hote!

Absolutely fantastic, the staff were amazing well done. Went here after being refused entry to a different hotel for having a tattoo, on arrival they were aware it was my birthday and I was greeted with wine and cake, and booked into the party night, Rocky horror show, even tho it was fully booked they squeezed us in. Couldnt find fault with anything

Just stayed Fri/Sat at Village Bury. Usual good Village standard but the staff were all very friendy and the food was so good on the Friday we changed our plans and booked for the Saturday as well. Very convenient for Bury and the well known Market. All in all a very relaxing stay with surprisingly good food, well done Bury.

The location of this hotel is fine if u are travelling by car. Five mins to centre of bury. But if you wanted to go out in bury and stay in a hotel it's a bit out of the way. Nice rooms and good breakfast. Put a lower score for service as when my other half didn't want to get up for breakfast they wouldn't let me take any up to my room . Nice venue for a wedding however my friends got married there and didnt see what they were promised in the buffet . 7/10

I was disappointed with our room it was clean but it looked like I had just stepped in to a P**mier In*.

We selected a village hotel as we expected it to be all greys purples etc and most of the hotel was modern but some of the rooms are a bit to cream and a little bland for my taste.

Breakfast was good and inc in the price.
