We stayed at this hotel at the weekend, 2 night stay with my husband as visiting friends in the area. We booked in advance and cost us £62.50 per night for B&B, use of facilities and complimentary parking. For this kind of money I think the hotel was well worth the money especially as we had use of the leisure facilities which included a swimming pool. I was a bit disappointed that our standard double room which states includes a double bed was in fact 2 single beds that were pushed together, and the 'fresh decoration' I felt wasn't quite as fresh as I'd expected. At reception we were told that we were in the new block however I don't think this was the case as I thought the bathroom in particular was very dated, could have done with a re grout and our bathroom floor got very wet as the seal to the shower screen had gone. The room was very quiet at night and we had a lovely view of a stream.

Breakfast is served between 7.30-10.30 so didn't feel that we had to be up at the crack of dawn to eat which was good, I think that the hotel would benefit from haing another dining area or a imget dining area as there did seem to be an issue at breakfast and dinner about table space. English breakfast was on offer, cereals, fruit, toast, selection of pastries - self service. We ate dinner in the restaurant n Saturday night and would advise to ok in advance, the staff managed very well with a busy restaurant and even though there were several large parties in there we we not left tummies on the floor waiting for our food. There were a couple of options of menu ranging from the main menu or reduced menu, 3 courses for 2 people for £29 which we thought was good value for money.

All in all for the price, right off the motorway, in Manchester with parking included I thought it was good value for money would likely stay there again next time visiting friends ... Certainly beats a low up bed on their floor :)

We stayed here 10 years ago when it was relatively new. It's a great concept having different restaurants within the building to choose from, even a Starbucks coffee shop. The only thing letting it down is the fact that after 10 years it's probably time it had a fresh lick of paint.
The bedroom was good, modern and comfortable with a brilliant mirror for applying makeup and and comfortably drying your hair, etc , but the bathroom was more than tired! Shabby is an apt description. No extractor fan, a constantly dripping tap, visible wires from the towel rail, flaking paint from around the bath fascia and very dated grubby looking tiles.
The big plus however was the meal in the Italian Restaurant where the excellent food, along with a good choice of menu, was matched by the service. Again very good service at breakfast but the staff as a whole are very young and attention to detail needs to be addressed.A dirty spoon and a dirty cup should have been noticed. The best service was given by a more mature lady at breakfast, Isobel and by the night manager on reception. Overall, I would stay again but would be disappointed if no refurbishment had taken place.

Had a lovely spa day here. Was very clean and all staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Reception staff are a credit to the spa team! The sauna and steam are both first class and was nice to have a soak in the warm and deep jacuzzi! Overall the facilities are excellent! Had a go of the toning tables and the well equipped gym! Cant wait to go back.

We stayed at the hotel back in April as a present for my boyfriend. We stayed on the dinner bed and breakfast deal. The hotel was lovely and so was the pool. The room was comfortable and modern with a basic and clean bathroom. The hotel was large and you could get a lift straight down to the pool without walking through the main reception. The onsite pub was good with warm and friendly staff. There was only a problem with the restaurant but it was understaffed and very busy. We sat down to eat at 8:30 and didnt leave until midnight. We waited over half an hour for our starter and over an hour for our main. When the main arrived the garlic bread was missing and it took another 20 minutes waiting for that. I tried waiting at first as i wanted it with my pasta but it took too long. We werent offered dessert even though we had paid for it so at quarter to midnight went up to staff and asked for it. We did complain as it was one thing after another so our drinks bill got wiped which was good. Overall good but i would only stay bed and breakfast next time.

We and 90 guests celebrated our golden wedding anniversary. Everything was first class the venue room , the hog roast buffet, and the DJ were excellent. The bar staff and catering staff were very friendly and helpful .We and several of our guests stayed overnight in spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.I can highly recommend this hotel.

The tribute nights are absolutely ridiculous just because they are awake having a good night don't mean your guest have to be kept up all night far to hot in the hotel windows open but a noisy night was all I got wont be stating again and won't be recommending to anyway the total opposite acctually

We stayed here for one night on bank holiday weekend. We went for the Upper Deck option due to the Starbucks and Sky Movie package plus the Sleep easy Bed. The room was spacious and clean decorated to a modern standard, bed was huge and comfy. Just a shame you only get one Starbucks hot chocolate in your drink package ;) Hotel was clean and staff are very friendly, we use the pool and sauna facilities which are clean and well kept, they also offered toys for the children in the pool. We didn't eat at the hotel so cant comment on the food, but the restaurant across the road is fantastic value for money. The bar was reasonably price and seems to have a sports theme to it with pool table and darts boards. Rooms are very warm at night even with windows open but they did provide a fan. The walls are very thin as we heard next door arguing for almost an hour at 1 o'clock until security came and sorted it out.
Overall we had a relaxing experience and would definitely go again, and would take the children next time as it is very family orientated.

Stayed two nights here this weekend - and it was....ok at best.. the staff were friendly enough but dont think it really represents De Vere very well - we also paid for an upgraded 'upper deck' room which was small, dark and very very hot and stuffy- you could have been anywhere in the country, there was no information in the room which related to that particular hotel or the surroundings - the room's outlook was a side roof - supposedly the upper deck rooms should be quieter - nope - we had to make a call to managment at around 12.30am to complain about outrageous noise from the room above - incredible - it did stop after however!
Breakfast was a 'bun-fight' - kids everywhere - toasters catching alight, food quality was nice though but the constant too-ing and fro-ing of hoards of people is a nightmare - really was too expensive for the standard - will probably avoid 'Village' hotels again, too much like a Butlins for my liking..

We booked for the tribute night, a party of 8. The hotel is a typical Village, Victory pub had a nice sunny terrace to the front of the hotel. The tribute act was Nathan Moore Experience which wasn't very good the DJ/compare made the night. The food was good, 3 course at tribute show and a very pleasant breakfast.

Will stay again but wouldn't want to see the same tribute act again.
