Hotel was OK but decor awful & dark. Staff nice but over expensive appliances not made up for sensible needs of guests - I.e. mirror had no light near by but TV was big enough to be the Odeon. Bathroom was so dark could hardly see. Lighting was poor.

We had a lovely stay in an uppdeck room. Spent the evening enjoying a lovely meal and the following day a lovely relaxing day by the pool.the sauna and steam room are great and it felt like we were on our holidays.

Lovely hotel, bar and leisure facilities. However sleep was disturbed and there was a tribute night on and all we could hear was loud music and girls laughing/screaming. Once this quietened down then we got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was only okay, sausages seemed a little cheap and couldn't get the toaster to work. However as a whole the pool, leisure facilities, room and pub made the experience very enjoyable. thank you

automsted reception - whose idea was this? It's not Tesco or a cheap campanile in France !! It's a busy hotel with bars and a hotel and is supposed to offer guests service. The reference numbers didn't work as we used booking. Com so after a long journey we were trying to fumble through our mobiles with bags all over the floor. Eventually the receptionist ended her call and helped us. By that time I was upset and annoyed and felt pretty insulted as well. I have used this hotel many times over the years and always enjoyed it. It'd popular with hen weekends etc and themed parties do is always busy. However the rooms are lovely, the pub is great and the service is usually excellent at reception. The recptionist guided as towards these check ins which now dominate reception as she was on the phone but this is clearly the preferred method. it is impersonal and unfriendly and frankly annoying.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. We used the gym and the swimming and they were great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to escape or go for business. Service was really good

This was my second stay, initially attracted by the price and offers, but the hotel itself would draw me back as would the helpful and friendly staff. Excellent facilities, beautiful rooms and glorious food at the Verve Restaurant. Stayed at The Radisson Blue in Manchester and this was by far The Village was by far the better of the two.

First impressions count! On arrival at the hotel I went to the reception desk and after saying I wanted to check in was asked "Would you use this one here", and the lady pointed at a terminal on the desk. This was the worst welcome I had received at a hotel anywhere.
The room (Club room) was excellent and the bathroom was great. Not too fussed about a Nespresso machine rather than a kettle, but hey.

This hotel was really nice I was impressed with the rooms, the staff and everything about it.
I stayed overnight with my mum who is disabled and everything was there for her even a lovely walk in shower which we wasn't sure if she would have to strip wash as it would be a bath. The only thing was the bed was very high and it was a struggle, but on vacating I did ask if they had any rooms with lower beds and they said next time to ask for a disabled room - so we will do that, hopefully it will be of the same quality room wise.

One night stay for a break. Good and very clean. Staff all very helpful. Would visit again. We booked a larger room which had a nice view of the river from the window. Large tv with free sky. Was worth paying the extra for.
