Stayed here for a night, we were upgraded to a club room for free..
Very nice modern room with an amazing shower!
We didn't eat at the hotel but we used the pool...leisure facilities were good and the place was clean.
My only complaint is the very confusing corridors! Took us ages to find our room.. up and down and up and down in the lifts!
I will definitely be back!

Very disappointing as stayed here on numerous occasions and always had a good stay previously. Reduced personal touch with automated check in. Reduced food standard and lack of care on refurbishment to hotel in general.

We stayed for 2 nights this weekend. On the whole it was very good . A couple of problems with the fan and missing towels were answered almost immediately. Even though there was a function taking place we weren't troubled by it. We had a meal in the pub and that was good value. We didn't use the leisure facilities so can't comment on those.

Stayed over at this hotel for one night whilst visiting family. Would normally use Premier Inn in either Bury or Prestwich but we were seemingly late in booking and both these venues were full and so booked in at The Village thinking it would be a bit of a treat being double what we might expect to pay at the 'budget' hotels. The plus point is the location being handy for the M62/M66 motorways so not out of the way and easy to find. It has its leisure facilities should you wish to use them and ample parking for guests as well as leisure users. That said, the rest of the experience was not great. Reception staff were helpful and we received our room key to a Club room on 2nd floor. I guess this was designed and kitted out by a man. Decoration was dark and 'trendy' huge TV inc Sky reception. Nowhere to put bags except the floor to be tripped over. Hair dryer plug nowhere near mirror with poor lighting as well. The Bosch tassimo machine did not work and as ever, after showering, the bathroom is so steamed up it was impossible to get dry and the walls and mirror just streaming because of no extractor/ventilation. Nor was there any courtesy light in bathroom for use in nighttime when the facilities are pitch black. All in all we were quite disappointed. The bed was comfortable. However was awoken in the earlier hours with terrible heartburn- my meal was a chicken Cesar salad taken in the pub restaurant downstairs. I have never before had heartburn after a salad, have no idea what was in the dressing but needless to say I won't be eating there again should we forced by circumstance to return. Trust me a return booking will only be as a last resort. I must make clear that all the staff we had dealings with were perfectly pleasant and professional, I feel the hotel let them down.

It is a nice hotel, however the booking of a high school prom mid week in a hotel used heavily by corporate guests was a poor decision. Security put on did nothing despite receiving "about 70 complaints".

Because of this I would think very carefully about using the hotel in future, it just seemed so out of character with the image of the hotel, and how they were trying to perceive themselves. An aweful decision as I doubt such events drive much revenue....hense the week night but seriously, look after your core clientele!

Very nice rooms and bathrooms albeit a bit on the compact side and too dark. Have breakfast at Tesco and watch price of some of the drinks. Overall a very pleasant stay. Very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel itself with pleasant staff.

Lovely cheap weekend away. The hotel had lots of facilities and only £4 in a taxi away from Bury centre. The swimming pool is great but very busy with kids at all times. BUT the biggest problem is NO mirror in the bedroom. Couldn't check out my clothes, couldn't straighten my hair and makeup was Marilyn Manson . There is a mirror in the bathroom but of course it's shoulder high only and straighteners or hair dryer would not reach and too far away to see makeup properly.

My party of 5 ladies thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Village Bury. The theme night was lots of fun and we would definitely attend another. The upper deck rooms were clean with good facilities and comfortable beds. The pool and Jacuzzi were pleasant and the changing rooms were clean, although the lockers had seen better days, however we were advised these were due for an upgrade very soon.
