Don't stay in a club room if you want to sleep. Directly over main entrance and bar and nightclub. Heard every club track as well as all guests leaving or hanging around outside smoking. Shower cubicle leaks and rooms are too dark.

Very dark dismal room, not enough lighting, there was a switch for a heated towel rail in the bathroom but no towel rail in the room?? no instructions on how to use coffee machine, no other tea/coffee making facilities, room hadn't been cleaned along skirting boards and bathroom had round corners. Sink had scum marks in! On the positive side the bed was very comfy.

I stayed for business, conference and a party night in December 2016. Although Starbucks was having a makeover, everything else about the hotel was accessible, clean and the service was excellent from all. Nothing was too much trouble and upon arriving at 10pm when the restaurants were closed the management team and Chef did their utmost to accommodate us. Throughout the 2 night stay the staff could not do enough for you. I would recommend for business, pleasure and conferences. Overall a very good hotel and stay

Very nice hotel,
The drinks expensive.
The spa was wonderful
The food was awful the minute steak I asked for was to be rare, I received well done and tasteless.
The hotel itself was pleasant and clean. The swimming pool was amazing although never went in it looked superb.

The booking of the event is handled by a different part of The Village Hotel and the communication between them and the Hotel was not great. This caused a few difficult conversation during the final preparations for the event, but we got there in the end.

The facilitation on the day and evening was brilliant and we were looked after really well. The event space is modern and in great condition and refreshment bar really handy. Food was excellent and although we ended up with two Christmas dinners (Lunch & Party Night), who doesn't like Christmas Dinner. Mardi Gras Christmas Do was fun and all had a great time, with the hotel opening up the bar until 2pm for the residents.

Everyone was so helpful, as a solo customer I felt very comfortable, safe in the environment of the hotel.
The room was pristine, lovely and warm on entering.

I have stayed here a few times as my best friend lives near by. The hotel is going through some refurb work which is doing it wonders.

All the rooms i have stayed in have been good. The new check in system is really easy to use and i love the app for checking in and using it as my room key. For a business traveller this is great as i often check in really late and by the time i get there, all i want yo do is get to my room quickly.
