I really liked the modern bedrooms, the bathroom, shower, mixer taps, movable shower head, super wooden flooring. possibility to connect my hairdryer next to mirror in bedroom, great coffee facility. lots of space.
Unfortunately the service in the eveneing was a bit poor.

Overnight stay in a club room... Not my first time at a Village Hotel and definitely NOT my last. Easy check in, lovely room with a view of the river...enormous extremely comfortable bed, fab seat with footstool too ! Gigantic t.v, much appreciated 👍 Huge wetroom shower, big fluffy towels, proper "glasses" and a great tassimo coffee maker. Extra towels, milk and coffee delivered to the room within 5 minutes of the request.. Thank you.

Dinner was £30 for 2... Prawn cocktails, large, delicious... Would have loved a sprinkling of paprika... 😊? Steak, chips etc. I paid an extra £5 for sirloin instead of rump steak plus peppercorn sauce... Everything cooked to perfection.. Portion size...just right ! My rare steak was perfectly rare... The mustard sauce mmmm Beautiful... Service was pleasant, efficient and friendly... Prompt delivery of both courses 👍 Drunks were a bit pricey but the food was delicious and great value. Leisure facilities, pool, spa etc. Clean, spacious, well thought out and maintained... Top notch ...
Breakfast, tasty and plentiful, offered fresh porridge or poached eggs, friendly efficient staff, lovely fresh coffee... Plentiful choice of food, delicious pots of Greek yoghurt & granola & fresh fruit salad... Fruit juice, fruit bowl, pastries & cereal ...lovely... Was checkout... Taxi was booked and a set fare sorted for me by the receptionist... A totally enjoyable and relaxing experience, needs to be a full weekend next time... Absolutely Fabulous 🍹 x

The food is good and well prepared. The resturant is too dark to the extent that you can't see the starters buffet. The drinks are ridiculously over priced; £4 for a bottle of beer! But they know how to do an excellent Sunda roast.

Spent a lovely afternoon here with my daughter and mum. Great treatments with very friendly staff. Pool was busy but still nice and clean. Spa also busy but staff had the time for you and didn't rush the treatments. Thank you

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Staff were very helpful and friendly and made our check-in easy. Prepaid for a meal in the grill where we were offered a choice of table immediately despite not making a reservation. Our server for the night was Lucy (or Luce as my husband called her) and she could not have done more to ensure we enjoyed our night. She made recommendations regarding the menu, checked on us at regular intervals and was always polite and helpful. A credit to your team.

Positives - room excellent, choose a club room, very big and superbly fitted out
Meal was very good and the service in the bar was brilliant.
Only negative is the cost of drinks which were very expensive.

Overall my experience was pretty decent, but once again house keeping have let the side down. On arrival was checking in and the person at reception came over and asked if everything was fine excellent *thumbs up* ordered some food to the hotel when we got back and needed some cutlery straight away received it excellent *thumbs up*. In the morning I realised that I needed some toilet paper so I call house keeping (them actually picked up which is very surprising for a start) roughly about 8ish. It was morning so I expect them to be busy but if someone has asked for toilet paper I would imagine they would get it to you within 5/10 minutes. But no! I waited just under a hour I finally got sick of waiting and called them back and nothing the phone just rang and rang and no one picked up. I eventually had to go to reception and speak to a manager just so I could get some toilet paper. Soon as the manager made call, but the time I got to my room someone was there. I then realised this person was not only working on the same floor as me BUT only 2/3 rooms down. So why couldn't my request have been carried out sooner??? I have to stress that the rest of the service was great barring Starbucks bit that's for another day!

The Village Hotel in Bury is a nice hotel, with a good pub, good food, a proper sized swiming pool and frendly staff. I would stay in this hotel again. After a day of travelling I had a relaxing evening,
