We had a few work parties here over the festive period - the bar is very expensive but excellently stocked and never any issues with service. Highly recommended. (From past experiences, swimming pool excellent also.)

Checked in at 10pm and the receptionist was lovely and upgraded my parents to a club room which was very kind. Modern refurbishment very stripy and the bed was very comfy huge TV and shower powerful and lovely espa products. The only problems was the noise and my mother phoned down at 3am and seemingly the police had already been called so noise is an issue but it was a Saturday night! Such a shame but what can you do. Otherwise come stay here!!

I really enjoyed my stay as everyone was friendly and helpful. I did not have one as I couldn't remember if my booking included breakfast.

Stayed here on a Friday night (me and girlfriend) just to do something different. The hotel is lovely and modern, the staff member who checked us in (Ashley) was really friendly and helpful and we got up to the room which was fantastic with a gorgeous bathroom and a lovely view of the river.

We went down for Dinner and things just sort of went downhill, we have nothing to majorly complain about but when a lot of small things happen over the course of an evening it sorts of spoils your stay.

Upon being seated in the restaurant the waitress told us there was no salmon left which was fine but when we ordered she returned to tell me that what I wanted was also not available which was frustrating so I ordered teryaki prawns instead. I got 6!! prawns, not big ones either but the meal was tasty if not filling. Despite booking a deal that included Dinner we managed to leave the restaurant adding £10.50 to our room bill and we only had one starter and 2 mains. The menu is designed to make you end up paying more. Things like that just bug me with hotels, trying to cash in on every part of your stay is just annoying. even the menu specifically for the deal we had booked asked for an extra fiver to have a rump steak.

Anyway we left there and went to the bar for a drink after my gf saw a cocktail she fancied (pornstar martini), it was made with cordial rather than fresh fruit juice so was pretty sickly and horrible after a couple of sips.

About 12:30 ish we ordered some last drinks as it looked as though the bar was closing down, we left them on the table and went outside for a cigarette, when we returned to the bar we were greeted by a bouncer with his arms out wide blocking our entrance back to the bar. We explained that our drinks were in the there and so had we been all evening and went in to get them, he told us we would have to drink them in reception whilst plenty of others were sitting round tables carrying on their night. As we didnt really want to sit in the reception area outside a closed starbucks we left our drinks and went to bed.

Like I said nothing major but what could have been a lovely night was spoiled by a number of small annoying things. We have stayed at the village Ashton and the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff there stands out a mile. Like chalk and cheese

Overall the hotel is clean and tidy although did smell a little musty but there is no reception as such which didn't appear to work too well as there was a couple of us who's key cards hadn't worked and therefore had to come back down to find someone to sort and also you have to pay an extra charge to use the leisure facilities.

Treat yourselves to this fantastic hotel which was good value for money, ideal when visiting a show in Manchester. Breakfast was plentiful with a great choice. Didn't use the restaurant as we dined at the pub/restaurant just across the road which was also great value for money.

No fault with the venue except the post code using Sarnav took us straight past the venue. I didn't see wheelchair access but there must be some because there are a lot of steps up to it. The staff were very pleasant and there was loads of space for parking.

We went on a friday evening for the room and meal offer. Which looks like great value for money. It was a date night and was looking forward to a nice meal and the chance to talk about sonething other than work! We went to the resteraunt to eat as a couple and was not informed there was an 80s tribute night due to start mid way through out meal. Half way through out starter very loud music was played by a do, complete with flashing lights and from nowhere a bunch of people in tutus and neon body paint. This ruined the meal- we couldn't hear eachother talk - even though we asked them to turn it down. We spent the test of the meal in silence as got fed up of shouting at eachother across the table. We did ask for it to be turned down but this didnt happen. Although we understand it was a great offer - we would not have booked as the whole point was to have some nice relaxing quality time together. Also paid for breakfast in the morning and it was horrendous. It was cold, and not enough choice for the money paid. One toaster burnt the toast, the other didnt toast it. Overall the hotel itself is beautiful, the staff were friendly, but would be sceptible about staying again on a weekend.

This was our first visit and we shall certainly stay again. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were very good. It was very busy with guests but it seemed well organised and ordered. The rooms are neat, clean and comfortable. Excellent parking facilities and easy access from the Motorway.
