The design was very nice, the room was very clean and the bath/shower was very comfortable. Staff was very accommodating (Best was Jay!), Breakfast was good, as was restaurant and pub food. My only complaints would be the smoking area was not clearly defined, there were signs indicating directed to one side of the entrance, but staff insisted it was down below all the way at the bottom of the steps in front of the hotel, which was very inconvenient. Also, the disabled access to the hotel was to the far right side of the building, a small lift that I didn't even know was there (not clearly indicated), which was also inconvenient since my other guest often had trouble walking up the steps. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

Overall a lovely stay at the village fantadtic food and brill service. Only thing that was annoying was the fire alarm caused by another resident smashing the box at 4 in morning ment our sleep was disturbed and the room did not have much ventilation as so warm was uncomfortable.

unusual check-in but good facilities - good room size and facilities and well stocked bar downstairs

Great stay apart from someone knocking my door at 02.10am saying they were staff but weren't.

Village hotels in my experience tend to be on the better side. A very good average of quality and service. The hotel itself is quite big with plenty of rooms.

My room was quite good but one thing that massively affected my stay was the temperature of the room. It was like a sauna inside.

No air con and a really crap fan that barely blows anything. I asked reception if they had any spare fans but they said no.
Couldn’t even open the window any further than an inch because of safety latches.

It was hard to sleep at night in the heat but other than that my stay was an above average one. I will be visiting a village hotel again I’m sure.

Great pool and gym, lovely facilities on the hotel and really friendly and helpful staff. Pur disappointment was with the room which was not as hoped, as there was only 1 pillow, and the room was a little shabby with carpet stains and mould on bathroom ceiling, also the in room tea and coffe was not provided the first night of our stay and tv wasn’t fixed until the second night, these issues did not dampen our stay and overall it was a lovely hotel and we would come back.

Fantastic hotel, except when it's party night, when you'll get little sleep.
I've marked the hotel down because a hotel manager makes choices... to provide comfort to paying guests or a service to a set of party-goers that will fill the remaining rooms in the hotel AT THE COST of the comfort of the other paying guests.
This hotel hosts parties, and if you have the misfortune to have a room when it does, don't expect to get a good nights sleep.

Room was clean but sparse. The bed was extremely low, as was the wash basin (only thigh high) - I assume it was an adapted room that had been allocated to us. There was a lot of audible noise from the adjoining room (could hear their television and phone conversations) and from above (heavy footsteps). Overall I expected more from this brand hotel & don’t think it was good value for money.
