for the last 8 years i have stayed here many times but not stayed at the Village at Bury as last time they cancelled a confirmed booking, so stayed last night at to my shock they have now started charging £5 to park here no mention of this before you book. When i challenged this some people get this for free. Red hall hotel just up the road very nice as well and car parking is be free, Wont be at the village again

The room was great with access to the spa and gym which was also great. Breakfast was good too but they gave me a disabled room which is not a real problem but the sink was lowered and made using the sink difficult.

Pillows very uncomfortable and breakfast not so great! Otherwise, lovely room and nice bar area.

Good place.. easy links. Had an issue in our rooms. The radiator kept making a loud bang noise every hour or so.. just ended up turing it off!
Service is good and staff are quick and efficient

Positives - Plenty of parking, great staff.

Negatives - Poor lighting in room (spotlights at door and two bedside lamps) making it poor for working in.
£5 parking charge is unjustifiable.
Breakfast is average yet expensive.
Brown sludge in kettle (perhaps a clever business model as I ended up buying a coffee from the in hotel Starbucks).
Lots of noise transfer between rooms (perhaps due to the adjoining door between rooms?) so I was kept up until 1:30 am by the buzz saw snorer next door.
Some maintenance and upkeep issues in room.

Enjoyable stay throughout, poolside was exactly what we were looking for. All communal areas were clean and contemporary. Breakfast was pricey at £10 each so we chose the Inn next door for half the price. Very busy hotel so not a place for a quiet weekend break but good atmosphere.

Only down side was there was no tea/coffee facilities, no room maid and you had to request new towels in the room but understand this was due to the current climate and not the hotels fault.

Only down side was there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, towels did'nt get changed unless you asked and also the room was'nt made during the day but understand this was due to the current climate situation. Room was ok, shower nice and bed comfy.

Very nice and clean hotel with bar & gym & pool facilities(extra cost). The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - my room faced the evening sun and was extremely ward during the recent heat wave and the very kind lady on reception moved me to a front room without the sun which was a lot cooler. The hotel does not have air-conditioning but does have Dyson fans :)
