A big thank you to Chris B and Darren who moved us recently from Bolton to Morecambe. Well done lads, you did a fantastic job. You were very polite, courteous and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend we move anything. Thank you.

Had a nice stay at the hotel .
All the staff were friendly and welcoming
Sunday lunch was really tasty and would recommend . Breakfast was basic with limited choices . Bar food menu was limited with no healthy food choices , mainly burger , onion rings , dirty fries . Pool was nice but the floors to the pool and changing room were very dirty which was really off putting

We stayed at the Village hotel for one night (a Friday night). We stayed in a very spacious superior double room. The room was quiet, clean and very nicely decorated.

We had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was reasonably priced and well made- the service was a little slow, but to be expected for a Friday night. The bar was comfortable and also offered a nice relaxing place to sit and have a drink. The breakfast was excellent, though the rashers of bacon were welded together!!

We thought this may just be another bland hotel, but every aspect of the hotel was excellent. We've just stayed in a top De Vere hotel and both said that we'd prefer to stay here again!

Stopped in a twin room for one night with a friend for a couple of pamper/shopping days. Arrived early and was able to go straight into the room. Booked a taxi to Bury which came in a couple of mins had a great time shopping. Back to the hotel and spent a while in the room which was relaxing, nice bathroom too. Had an excellent meal in the restaurant after a drink in the bar. Spent the next day in the swimming pool area after a good breakfast, and had lovely treatments in the Spa. Altogether a most enjoyable time at a great hotel which we got really cheap on the internet. Only complaint was the noise the lift made in the night, would ask to be further away from it next time.

I went here with my husband (i'm 28, he's 35) and we both had a great time. I don't understand how anyone couldn't like this hotel. Looks amazing from the outside- very grand and inside is even grander. Lovely, modern, spacious rooms and the a la carte food in the restaurant was gorgeous. Then there's the pool- wow. It's a big pool, very clean and very well maintained. Sauna and steam room were also good. I liked the fact there was a snack bar as well as a bar with a bar menu and posh restaurant too - offered lots of choice. Found the staff to be really friendly and pleasant too.
There was karaoke in the bar and a good atmosphere which was great.
This was my second visit here and i am sure i will return for a third.

This is typical hotel in the Village chain. Excellent leisure facilities including pool, spa, sauna, gym and squash courts.
The main entrance approach is up a large flight of steps which may be a problem with heavy suitcases. There must easier access from the side but it's not immediately apparent. The car park is large and generally busy with leisure club members' cars.
We booked this hotel through Laterooms.com and managed to get a DB&B for £144 for two nights which is £44 cheaper than the price quoted to us by the hotel booking service.
Handy for a trip to Manchester city centre. A taxi costs about £20 but a cheaper alternative is to use the tram from Bury station. We stayed here after going to a concert at Manchester MEN and a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre and because we like the good economy and usual good service these hotels provide.
Salingers restaurant in the hotel provided us with an excellent evening meal and the breakfast buffet offered a good choice of cooked or cold fare.
The Village Pub is a bit drab. Loud football matches on Sky TV and a smokey atmosphere didn't encourage us to eat in here. We went to the large Pub opposite the hotel and had a decent meal smoke-free when the hotel restaurant wasn't open.
The staff are generally friendly and efficient.
We had to move rooms because the first room had a toilet that wouldn't flush. The second room was ok, though the shower heat control was broken but luckily not too hot and the bed creaked like an old rocking chair! Rooms are spacious and air conditioned with TV and tea/coffee making facilities and the second had a mini fridge.
Modern decor and a comfortable lobby area. I would use this hotel again for any future mini-breaks in the Manchester area.

We paid £59 per night for a twin room including breakfast.
At this price, the accommodation was on a par with similar alternatives e.g: Travelodge et al.

The room was not huge by any means, but pretty clean & with a superbly powerful shower. The bed did seem somewhat older than the hotel itself (built 2001) but wasn't uncomfortable. Personally, I didn't think there was any difference between a duvet & a quilt, but we certainly had one or the other!

The main benefit of staying here is the free access to the pool, jacuzzi, steam room & sauna which were quite satisfactory.

Breakfast was fantastic for the price paid, but I would have expected perfection if I'd paid the ad hoc price for it ( £9.95).

One thing that might have irritated some more than others was the music from the bar which went on fairly late. Fortunately we were tired/merry enough to get to sleep in spite of it.

Bury town centre is walkable but if you're going to Gigg Lane for the footy you'd have a fair old hoof.
