Stayed for one night and was slightly disappointed.

Firstly, I'd reserved a double room only to find on arrival that it was in fact two twin beds pushed together.
The room was clean but the heat climbed rapidly. The Windows wouldn't open more than an inch and made no difference to the heat what so ever. I understand about safety regulations but the windows weren't worth opening for any air.

A very early 5:30am wake up call, from what sounded like banging metal together, was not appreciated. Unsure of whether this was the bin men but slightly early on a bank holiday.

Breakfast was great; hot and plenty of choice.

On the whole, a fairly comfortable stay in a nice hotel with great facilities. Very pleasant staff. I would stay again providing i'd get what I'd paid for.

We visit here quite a lot as the food is fantastic, kids under 5 eat free and there is always sport on the tv. They also have cheap drinks when live football is showing, win win, happy days! The staff are also very friendly and make you very welcome.

We stayed at this hotel over the early May Bank Holiday Weekend for our daughter's wedding. Minot difficulties checking in due to the abysmal central reservations system, although we could not fault the reception staff at the hotel. Once we got into our room it was very clean; decor not to our taste but we could live with it. Most comfy bed we have ever had in a hotel. Meals in the Vinny and Vito Restaurant we enjoyed very much. The wedding was held in one of the hotel's banqueting suites which proved to be a perfect venue. Only disappointment was that for some tables the roast beef for the main course of the wedding breakfast was rather tough. Other than that we could not fault this hotel as a wedding venue. Breakfast the following morning was excellent and the staff bent over backwards to provide a high level of service.

I was quite please to be staying at a Village hotel as I remember when they burst on to the scene some 25 years ago.

It was disappointing. This hotel has a Starbucks cafe in the lobby! Clearly the profit from the hotel is not enough.

The property relies on there leisure club.

The rooms do not appear to have been decorated for quite some years. The bathrooms are basic and quite industrial (no luxury here).

The rooms are tired, worn and unloved!

Unless you use the leisure club - steer clear.

Firstly I must say the breakfast staff are lovely! I stayed over 4days and everyone one of the girls I met are delightful and a great way to start the morning! Room was however tired and shabby, reception staff rude and ignorant and I wasn't too thrilled with the staff in the restaurant at night either, one young girl I found patronizing and too informal when greeting people.

I stayed one night for a friends wedding. The room was nice and big. Had a meal in the pub bit which was good. Breakfast in the morning would have been good but as we arrived most of the hot food had ran out and I didnt want to hang around so just had toast and fruit. Swimming pool looked really good. Wedding reception was in a good size room and the hog roast buffet was good. Drinks quite cheap. Would stay again.

Firstly I would like to mention that Jessica and carol I think her name was (how rude of me!) were lovely and looked after me and my three children perfectly I couldn't ask for more at breakfast, really pleasant girls. We stayed two nights I wasn't too impressed with the restaurant at night or the staff in there they lacked motivation. Reception staff lovely and room was ok, nothing special but basic enough. Would definitely stay again my children loved it

Six of us went for the night at the village hotel in bury, we had a brilliant stay, went into bury to the much talked about bury market! It has to be the best market I have ever been to. On our return we checked in. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our rooms were nice and clean, a bit warm could not open the window phoned reception someone came up within 5 mins and sorted it out. Had a good evening ,food was good drinks a bit pricey at the bar but you expect that in a hotel. Breakfast was lovely. We checked out put our bags in the car went back in and went for a lovely Swim and steam and felt very refreshed! Would definitely stay there again!

Myself and three work colleagues recently stayed in this hotel on a company trip as whe have regular business in this area. The hotel is very average. The bedroom was very warm despite turning the heating controls off, the windows would not open more than an inch, which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Things did not improve on checkout as the receptionist was very patronising and unhelpful & in my opnion not suited to a customer service role. On a plus note the breakfast was good & the waiting staff friendly & helpful.
