Friendly helpful welcome, comfy bed, pubic! hair from previous occupants in the shower cubicle. Great leisure facilities. Food in pub not so good and left most of it and too tired to complain. Great location just off motorway and ample parking.

Overall very good but just one downfall was the service for breakfast. Staff were rushed and it showed. 3 members didn't know how to do thd till correctly. We asked 3 times for a pot of tea when it finally came we had almost finished.

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary at the village bury (we got married here too :) ),everything was as we expected it to be, room was clean and tidy, though bit short on coffee pods, but reception quickly provided replacements, have to say though that the coffee machines need upgrading .
Food in the restaurant was excellent as was breakfast. All in all it was a rally pleasant stay.

We stay here when visiting relatives in Bury. With the leisure facilities and pub/restaurant features it is much more interesting than the more bland alternatives. Usually pretty good service and friendly staff. When busy there can be a bit of a wait for tables at breakfast, but only minutes. The lift was out of order for the two days we were there, but I expect that could happen anywhere. Just the second bed in the family room disappointed. I think they have replaced the previous sofa beds, but the new "bed" was extremely firm. Best only for young kids (which is no doubt what it is used for the most). Very easy access off M66, and always plenty parking.

Ate here on a Thursday evening, wasn't busy although we did reserve a table. Booking the table was hard enough as it takes ages for the reception to pick up the phone.
The food, minute steaks was cooked as we asked, came with bowl of chips and a piece of greenery And pepper sauce.
The food was tasty as was the deserts. The service throughout was great and staff helpful, but as I say it was very quiet.
Sadly it only rates an average because we didn't see £23 value in the steaks.
Would we dine again, yes if it was cheaper.

My friend and I stayed for the Sunday 'dine and dream' deal prior to a business event on the Monday. It was perfect for us, we arrived on Sunday afternoon in time to enjoy the use of the leisure facilities, the all you can eat buffet and on Monday morning the breakfast buffet. Everything was really good.

Hats off to the management team here, it's a huge and very busy hotel and yet achieves high standards of service all round.
Staff are efficient and friendly, rooms and common areas are clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent.

We have stayed at this hotel since it was first built some 17+ years ago. It is extremely handy for us and within a reasonably walking distance to the town centre.
We were disappointed with our initial room. Although the hotel has undergone a very recent refurbishment, we found our bedroom was quite good, although the light switches to the headboard were damaged and did not adjust. However, the bathroom was quite disappointing. The bath appeared to be one of the original ones and definitely the countertop around the sink area and sink itself was one of the original features when the hotel was built. Considering the amount of refurbishment completed, I would have expected a total renewal of all bathroom fixtures and fitting.

One of the extremely disappointing and alarming finds however on this stay was that a set of guests in one of the bedrooms had a dog with them. We were totally unaware that any form of pet was allowed in the hotel (perhaps guide dogs excepted). As I have a severe allergy to pet hair I am both shocked and alarmed at this. Even if this was just a transient doggy visit, it should not be allowed.

Our room was very noisy and we were continually disturbed by returning party guests slamming their doors shut and also ones outside the front of the building making a continual noise until 02.30 am. On the plus side, we were offered a room upgrade the following day due to problems with the room and we accepted this.

Hotel very suitable for business stay, however not exceptional.
For some reason the rates on Tuesday are much higher than other weekdays??? This makes the value for money for this one night not great.
