Can't fault the hotel for cleanliness and good staff. Room great and modern.
The only problem was the hotel bar was open all night for a boxing pay per view. This resulted in many people buying tickets for the event which was very late in the early morning. The noise from the smoking terrace and bar was noisy all night, so didn't get any sleep till after 6am when it all went quiet

Upon arrival we checked in and went straight to room but then decided to upgrade, however it was a downgrade previous room was much nicer.
We had a two course meal in the restaurant, staff were lovely, starter was great but the main was a let down.
As for sleep well I believe there was a wedding, as our room was above the outside area all we could hear was screaming, fighting and smashed bottles. Due to this the lady on reception gave up a late checkout.
Stayed here before and had a great experience I'm guessing this was a one off with it being a busy bank holiday weekend.

I booked a day room. It was very cheap but the actual room and bathroom were amazing. Super clean and presentable. Also had access to the gym and swimming pool which I thought was brilliant especially for the price I paid. Already have been recommending Village hotel Bury to my friends and family.

Overall a fab night with fab customer service but drinks and food are all overpriced so expect to pay. Small cleanliness issue corrected immediately but not the comfiest sleep I've ever had. Receptionist is helpful and friendly.

Have used this hotel already several times. They've moved some time ago to self-checkin via terminals, but these are not always working ok. Lucky for me a (very, very friendly) staff member was in the lobby and checked me in in the old-fashioned way.
Rooms are very clean, bed is certainly ok.
Dinner used to be better in the past (now the meat was a bit chewy, grilled vegetables partially raw, partially overcooked).
Staff are very friendly !
I would have given a 4 star rating in the past, now moving to 3 star overall.

Hello. We have stayed at Village Bury many times and also your hotels in Ashton and Hull and always have a great time, love the buzzy atmosphere. Could we politely request some more training for your receptionist Ashley the girl was struggling to cope and twice told us happy hour ended at 800 pm. We came down for dinner at 705 pm to be told we had just missed it. Enjoyed our meal and I think Ashley could learn lots from Tina the restaurant manager her customer service was exemplary. Thank you Chris Hubbard. Ps we were still told happy hour ended at 800 pm the next day.

The reception staff Emma was great very helpful and friendly. Our room was good just way to hot even with Dyson cool and windows open. The tribute night entertainment was good but the whole set up of the room was terrible and very poor in terms of health and safety considerations to the guests. We were on a long table where we were packed in like sardines! We couldn't even pull our chairs out to get into them we had to climb to get into our seats. If there had been a fire we'd have really struggled and it'd have been chaos. Also, we booked for a table of 13 but when we arrived there was only 12 seats on our table and no room for our 13th guest who had to leave and go home because it was obvious there was nowhere for her to as it was over packed as it was. The entertainment and food were really good. The hot plates had to be passed down the guests using towels provided by the staff as the waitresses and waiters couldn't get near us to serve them because the chairs were packed in so tightly back to back. This was a hazard as we had all been drinking and the plates were hot requiring towels to handle them and we had to do this for each course served which was ridiculous. The spa facilities were great and we didn't realise there was a hot tub in there so that made our day lovely and warm. Also a nice vibe in there, friendly people other than the lady on reception at the leisure club who looked down her nose at us and was very abrupt and rude. I would go to the hotel again but I would think twice about the tribute night which is a shame because the entertainment and food were good but the room was overcrowded and as mentioned the fire hazard and healthy and safety aspect was terribly thought out. Also we found the breakfast expensive so we dined over at the waterfold farm pub where it was less than half the cost of the village breakfast.

Great hotel. The staff, service and facilities were perfect. We had a great time. The central reservation Team appalling though. Do not make a mistake when booking on the website they were of no help. However, when I got through to the hotel they saved the day.

Stayed here after getting an extremely good deal in the Village summer sale (which even included friday and saturday night which was a change). The first room we went in the Sky box did not work but when we told the staff they were really helpful and came up straight away to sort it own. When they couldn't we were moved to a new room straight away.

The bed is extremely comfortable and as part of the club room the dyson fan was a nice extra, as was the coffee machine. The bathroom was really modern and the shower was really great.

Only things which let the hotel down is how busy it is. There were a couple of weddings on which included bagpipes which could be heard from our room.

Also, the breakfast was extremely disappointing. In such a highly rated hotel with it's own restaurant you would think it would be a lot better. There was a limited choice for the cooked breakfast and the items that were there were either not very well cooked or seemed like they had been there a while. The only saving grace was the pastries and yoghurts.

Nice hotel if you're in the area but opt for breakfast elsewhere.
