My sister and I treated ourselves to a spa winter warmer day and asked for an upgraded back massage as well. Not a cheap morning but this was a special time for us.
First disappointment was to realize that in spite of a rather high tariff, we had to pay extra for towels and robes. (£5 each)
Second disappointment : the "light lunch" is in fact a coupon for a coffee and cookie at Starbucks at the hotel entrance!! (And after asking us to choose a cookie, the guy then said you're only allowed chocolate chip!!)

So very silly to be disappointed like that when the treatments themselves were lovely - hot oil in heated mitts on hands, fabulous facial and head massage plus the "upgraded" back massage on a heated table.
I feel the day was relaxing and worth it.... but could have been just perfect with a few tweaks.

Love this hotel, we always use it a few times a year, cannot fault the place
The staff are very friendly and efficient, the rooms are spotlessly clean and the bed is so comfortable too, I'm looking forward to my stays here in 2018

The hotel staff are great. The systems thou are not. Reception looks very modern but not practical. It seems not to work. Rooms very dark and walls very thin. Breakfast is not good unless you like it cold !

I visited The Village hotel at Bury for a Christmas Party night and stayed over. Every single member of staff that I came into contact with from reception to house keeping, bar to restaurant, events and leisure team were polite, warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very clean and the food served at the party and breakfast was delicious. Excellent service!

I was uncertain about booking this hotel largely because of its size and a fear that it would be noisy. However that was not a problem. In fact every aspect of the hotel from the welcome and the room through to the generous breakfast was excellent. Excellent value too. We will certainly come back.

bar manager awkward and doing what he wanted despite an offer being sent to us. He said Subject to availability and im not doing it.I showed him the offer but he said it was his choice. Attitude was very poor. The bar staff were great though.

Enjoyed the place, got a good price for a couple of nights in a standard room. The bed is fantastic, the bathroom is really nice, the Smart TV was a pleasant surprise. Didn’t have the best window view, unfortunately: it was overlooking the rooftop with a puddle full of sigarette buds. Someone was smoking through the window in one of the suits next to ours, and when they threw the sigarette bud away, it was carried along with the ash straight into our room. Stepping on it was not the best experience of my life.
The hotel is located in a pretty nice place, considering it is in Bury.
Overall, a very nice and friendly place.
