The rooms require some sort of cooling system. Bring back a basic little with tea and coffee that is simple to make. The coffee machine require 2 or 3 inputs to get it starting to make a cup of tea/coffee

This was the 3rd time I have done one of these ladies at the spa breaks at the village hotel group. Excellent value for money. Overnight stay for 2 with 2 course meal a glass of fizz and a 25 min spa treatment for £89 can't fault it. Looking forward to the next one.

We stayed here on Sunday, and generally we had a lovely time. The receptionist was polite, helpful and informative. The self check in service is a great idea, but the process really lacks information. I paid for late checkout and a room upgrade, none of this was displayed on the screens upon checkin. I had to then wait around for the receptionist to ask if these upgrades were still on.

We get up to our room and everything seems fine, the room looks nice we had a quick scan around and went downstairs for some food. As food was part of our package we were given the choice of eating in the 'pub' or the restaurant. We didn't like anything from their very limited set menu, so opted to eat in the pub. we were advised that we has £15 per head to spend on anything on the menu, we just had to give them our room number when ordering. Food was good, menu lacks descriptions, but I opted for a Burger as I liked brioche buns (described on the menu)... My burger did not arrive in a brioche bun, it would have been nice to have been told.

We have a few more (Very expensive) drinks in the bar and retreat to our room. The room was fairly clean, but I feel it's time the rooms possibly had a deep clean as upon closer inspection (and not so close) we found these issues:
- Crumbs/dust on the clair - not even been swept off
- Very dusty legs to the table
- Dust and dirt behind the doors - in particular the bathroom
- Big heart with the word 'Robbie' in the bathroom mirror after it got steamy after a shower
- Stains on the carpet
- Dusty blinds
- Grubby worn marks on the bedside tables
- Tassimo Drip tray dirty
- Lots of dead pixels on the TV
- USED CONDOM and wrapper in the bin
- Iron didn't work properly - Just spewed warm ward out over garments

Breakfast was nice lots of choice and of good quality, staff were friendly. Bit strange that they don't serve fried eggs with their breakfasts, but they were happy to make it upon request.

You get a bill emailed to you the next morning, It was lucky I checked as I had been double charged for the food we ate in the 'pub'. Reception were happy to refund it though.

I stopped here for 1 night the room was clean and comfortable.

I would certainly stop again, I was lucky I got a deal for a club room which cost me an extra £7 should be £20 extra which it's defiantly not worth paying the extra.

The hotel walls are so thin that I had the tv on quiet and still got a knock on the door by hotel staff to turn the tv down so I switched it off because I had to turn it that low I couldn't hear it myself.

Handy location just off the motorway and close to Bury. Friendly staff but tired accommodation a overpriced decidedly average grill restaurant and a poor nights sleep due to the lack of air conditioning.

Lost its edge and bit run down, needs a upgrade and food options not great. Great location and gym brilliant with great facilities, restaurant and bar could do with better food choices but great service.

Love the hotel. Sometimes a bit noisy on weekend due to weddings and can be noisy at rear of hotel when a function is on. Club rooms worth extra money and food is cheap and plentiful. Always love saying here

Cannot fault the service at the Village. Staff were excellent, room was spotless, modern and comfortable. Nice big bed (my pregnant wife had a great nap as soon as we got there) clean bathroom and the WIFI worked!! Definitely visit again given the chance.

Not sure if this is exactly on the tourist trail of the North but if you need a clean comfortable stay then you can't go far wrong here. I have never been in one Village Hotels before so didn't know what to expect, I admit we were there as part of a wedding function so can only say what my impressions overall were. I had been annoyed that we had to pay extra to get into our room early (it's for weddings!!!) but hey- ho, we arrived even earlier and the girl on 'reception' was brilliant, sorry I don't know here name but she managed to get us into a room within 10minutes, now that's service., that's at least an hour and half before our allotted time. I used 'reception' like that because I noted that there were a lot of self service pods to check in , puhlease when you arrive at a hotel you want personal service!! Had they girls not been there we would not have had the same experience. The room was large, clean and comfy, the only small gripe was the power of the water in the shower wasn't great. The areas down stairs had a restaurant, bar and a fantastic looking swimming pool and gym and it was obviously well used by locals, what I saw of the food looked good too. So would have no objection to stopping in this chain again. The staff from the hotel who were helping organise the wedding worked very hard and it all looked great, so if your planning a wedding, check it out. Breakfast next morning was buffet style and whilst not the best I've ever had was still very good and all that you could want.
