CELEBRATED British chef, Marco Pierre White, has announced plans to open a new restaurant near Camberley this winter.
The Hell’s Kitchen star will join forces with The Casa Hotel, near Camberley to bring his Wheeler’s of St. James’s brand to the area.
The elegant restaurant will offer stylish and comfortable dining with the emphasis on British and French classics, in Marco’s trademark style. All dishes on the menu will use seasonal produce, sourced locally wherever possible so diners can be assured of honest, high quality food at affordable prices. As well as an A la carte menu, there’ll also be a weekly and Sunday set menu offering something to suit all appetites and pockets.
Founded in 1856, Wheeler’s of St James’s, in the heart of one of London’s most distinguished locations, became the world’s finest fish restaurant and a regular eating house for the great and the good of high society. Since acquiring Wheeler’s of St James’s, Marco Pierre White, arguably Britain’s greatest Chef and Restaurateur, has devoted his time and passion to re-creating exceptional fine dining, which was previously the preserve of the elite, and turning it into an affordable dining experience for all.
The Wheeler’s brand is focused on stylish, comfortable and affordable places to eat and drink, where quality is paramount and where the venues reflect the unique personality and style of Marco Pierre White. Every dish on the menu at Wheeler’s will be a ” Marco Pierre White” creation and Marco will personally oversee the appointment of the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager, both of whom will have trained at his other Marco Pierre White Wheeler’s establishments.
The opening of the new Wheeler’s restaurant forms part of The Casa Hotel’s current redevelopment plans that will see a full refurbishment of the kitchen, refurbishment of the bar and restaurant which includes new furniture, table decorations and Marco’s signature collection of pictures and cartoon drawings throughout, creating a cosy and comfortable environment.
Located on Handford Lane in Yateley near Camberley, the hotel is housed in a part 17th century building and set within its own large tranquil and rural surrounds and has enjoys a reputation over many years for its excellent standard of cuisine and accommodation.
In addition to the new restaurant, the hotel is also investing in the re-design of its gardens with a decked terrace for al fresco dining and a landscaped area with a bridge feature and Italian-style stone gazebo.
The new Wheeler’s of St James’s restaurant will be officially opened at a special event on 10th November 2011, where Marco Pierre White will host a VIP lunch and dinner for guests. Tickets for both can be purchased from The Casa Hotel at a price of £45pp for lunch and £99pp for dinner and include a champagne reception and a signed book. A donation of 30% from ticket profits will go to our local charity, Heartline.
Speaking about the new restaurant, Marco Pierre White said: “I’m delighted to be bringing the Wheeler’s of St. James’s brand to Camberley. There are many restaurants that claim to offer quality and affordability combined, but often the reality doesn’t live up to the promise. At Wheeler’s we pride ourselves on giving our customers an excellent dining experience where the food is reasonably priced and quality is never compromised.”
Jason Hiley, senior manager over seeing the project added: “Wheeler’s at The Casa Hotel will be a warm, welcoming place for friends and family to enjoy great food in great surroundings. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the hotel to be associated with Marco Pierre White and his distinguished reputation for quality dining and we can’t wait to see the restaurant up and running”.
