As we have reached the 100 year marker from the beginning of the Great War, there seems to have been a great national outpouring of remembrance and Camberley has more to remember than most, perhaps. Not only is the RMA still sitting opposite the town but it isn't so long ago that the Staff College was a busy part of the community too.
But my picture this month is an earlier one - taken from a family postcard album that belonged to my father. At the time it was sent, in 1903, he was a little boy of 18 months old and I wonder if he was one of those toddlers who cry at the sight of a 'jack in the box'? You will notice that even the brave soldier is a bit surprised!
