Cambridge residents who use the bus service for local travel could face up to two weeks of disruptions due to road closures throughout the city centre.
St Andrews Street was closed off on Monday 11th October to commence repair work on a collapsed underground sewer.
Cambridge Council have closed some bus stops along the route for the duration of the work, which will affect the following services: 99, 77, Citi 1, Citi 2, Citi 3, Citi 4, Citi 7, the 16, 17 and 114.
An Anglian Water spokesperson also outlined that the roadworks could potentially take longer than two weeks: “The work will take at least two weeks. From what we have seen on our remote cameras, there is some kind of sewer collapse."
“Until we are able to dig down, we won’t be sure of the cause or the severity.”
Further information on the services affected by the works and details of alternative routes can be found at the Stagecoach Bus website.
