Home owners in Cambridge have cause to celebrate this week after it was revealed house prices have risen by over £60,000 in the past twelve months.
A study, conducted by Savills Estate Agents, found that Cambridge had one of the strongest property markets in the UK, with houses worth almost three times the national average, second only to St. Albans.
James Barnett, head of residential sales at Savills, commented: "There has been an inevitable migration from London, where people have sold well and are now looking for a better quality of life, somewhere to educate their children and a decent commute into the capital."
