Motorists are claiming they are being sent crazy by the amount of roadworks currently underway across Cambridge.
Drivers claim to face lengthy jams every day of the week as they enter and exit the city.
The latest set of works around the Hills Road area are set to be in place until at least early 2011, with the closure of Mill Road for sewer repairs ongoing for a further five weeks.
Councillor Chris Howell from Cambridge City Council outlined: “There is a lot of work happening at the moment and overall, it is causing a problem.
“The upshot of the Hills Road work will be an improvement of capacity, particularly for cycling, which will have major benefits, while the Mill Road work is unavoidable. It’s painful while it lasts, but when it finishes, things will be a lot better.”
