The UK's best loved open air Shakespeare Festival opens in Cambridge at 7:30pm tonight, with over 8 weeks of award winning productions planned.
Set in the magnificent college gardens of Cambridge University, audiences can expect spectacular performances in full period costumes, accompanied by authentic live Elizabethan music.
Attracting over 25,000 visitors each year, the Festival has established itself as one of the country's leading cultural events and was recognised as the fourth best independent arts festival in the UK last year by The Independent newspaper and was described as a 'tour de force' by The Times.
Boasting productions of Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew and Henry V amongst others over its 8 week run until the 28th August, tickets are selling fast and demand is sure to be high.
