London Police have launched urgent investigations into the disruptions at Millbank on Wednesday, where students from across the UK gathered to protest against an increase in tuition fees.

Angry students and protestors culminated at the Conservative Party headquarters in Millbank Tower in London and smashed windows, took up residence in the offices, waved placards and clashed with Police several times throughout the day.

Initial investigations by the Police have claimed that students from Cambridge were involved in the riots, outlining that some waved placards bearing the name 'Cambridge University'.

Reports in the media also claimed that it was Cambridge students who made it to the roof of Millbank Tower (pictured) and waved flags to their fellow students below.
