With the recent public sector cuts that have been made, it is often the little things that go first, such as transport for the elderly, community projects and get togethers.

That is why it is so important that projects such as Celebrating Age are kept alive and kicking thanks to the great work of the volunteers that give up their time to make things happen.

This Sunday 2nd October, Celebrating Age are holding a communal lunch, to bring people together, inexpensively, to make friends, connect with existing ones, and provide often a much needed social activity to some that may have come to a lonely stage in their life, or maybe just cannot get around as much. The meal is 2 courses, with a juice or wine thrown in, all for £4!

You may know someone who could really enjoy this, or maybe yourself and some friends could go along as a group and widen your network in the local area. For more details go to Celebrating Age, and make a date for this weekend!
