For a touch of culture this week with one of the most notable and praised Western Classical works of music, St John Passion, St John’s College Chapel Boys Choir in Cambridge have a musical masterpiece in store for you on Thursday 15th March.
St John Passion is said to be dramatic representation of The Passion as told in the Gospel of John and was performed by Bach in St Nicholas Church in Leipzig in 1724,
The choir is made up of the current boys, and for this special performance they have four former voices taking the solos and will be accompanied by a fantastic orchestra! St John’s Sinfonia will be helping the boys along with this magnificent performance to leave you inspired and enthralled.
