Every time a child breathes in secondhand smoke, they breathe in thousands of chemicals. This puts them at risk of serious conditions including meningitis, cancer, bronchitis and pneumonia. It can also make asthma worse.
Fortunately, to help you avoid the £50 fine that you could incur if you smoke in your car with someone under 18, Stoptober is back!
Joining thousands of other people in giving up smoking will improve your health and save you money to spend on yourself, or your family and friends. You may even save enough money to pay for a holiday!
However, like using the mobile phone while driing, I feel this is a law that could be quite difficult to police. Let's hope then that common sense of the adult prevails and they take a moment to think of the consequence of their actions.
