Plans for the revamped Tesco store off Fordham Road went on public display over the weekend, outlining the supermarket's chains plans for a 'bigger and better' store in Cambridge.
Development of the extended store on Fordham Road should create around 200 new jobs in the area and land another blow to Sainsbury's in the continued battle for control over Cambridge shoppers.
Display boards showing plans for the new store are currently on display in the existing store off Fordham Road. They include a total floor area which will double the size of the current supermarket, as well as parking for 600 cars and a total staff of around 500 employees.
