As rumours continue to circulate of preparations for a royal wedding next year between Prince William and Kate Middleton, the question of the whether they will become Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has arisen.
The couple's formal engagement will be announced in 2011, followed by a summer wedding, according to speculation in the national media.
Rumours have also suggested that the day could be declared a national holiday, with workers across the UK being given the day off work to enjoy the celebrations.
Whilst nothing has been confirmed by the Royals, William Hill has stopped taking bets on a 2011 wedding and will now only give odds on the month of the nuptials.
If the couple do wed, they will be given new titles on the day of the wedding, possibly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, a Royal insider has reported.
