Are you looking to get involved with sport but simply don't have time to commit fully?

Or perhaps you are worried about not being good enough to really join in?

Why not give Rush Hockey, newly launched by Cambridge City Council, a try?

Rush Hockey is a small sided version of the game, similar to 5-a-side football, which is being promoted by Sports Development Team, in partnership with the England Hockey Board.

With only four or five players on a team and no goalkeepers in a smaller pitch, plus with a bigger, lighter ball, the game is faster paced, but more accessible for people of all ages and skill levels.

England Hockey Board Development Director, Holly Woodford said: "Players will experience the thrill of competitive play, team camaraderie and physical activity whenever and wherever they want."

Sessions start on Thursday 17th May with the first of an initial 13 sessions at Cambridge Regional College. Anyone is welcome at these 'Come and Play' events, where they will even lend you a hockeystick!
