People across Cambridge are being urged to take to the streets in support of the soldiers of the Royal Anglian Regiment when they march through Cambridge next week on their return home from Afghanistan.
Several hundred members of the 1st Battalion, known as the Vikings, will march through Cambridge on Monday 14th June to mark their return.
The parade will be led by D Company, which draws its recruits from the cities, towns and villages of Cambridgeshire.
With baynonets fixed, flags flying and music provided by the Minden Band, the parade will set off from Shire Hall at 6pm and head down Castle Hill along Bridge Street and Sidney Street, towards Market Square before an inspection is held in King's Parade, finishing at the Guildhall.
